Disappointing

When we arrived on site we were the only ones there until the next morning. "The good points".... Everything on the site is new. Pub just down the road - which we did use but the restaurant on site we didn't as no opening times & internet not available on site! "Not so good points" There is a little road noise as site is just off the main village road. We were disappointed there were no animals in the sanctuary which is supposed to be on the next field. No welcome of any sort...ie: - no emergency numbers, welcome pack, or owners! Decided to leave a day early, had booked again for July but cancelled as soon as we got home....

sorry to see your review! :( we are keen on reading reviews  and improving our site. To address your points:

The restaurant, although next to our site, is not linked at all to us. I’m sorry to didn’t get a chance to visit. Most people book by calling.

currently the farm is filled with animals! Over winter the animals are moved to sheltered buildings and not open fields for their well-being. Hillside animal sanctuary are completely dedicated to looking after their rescue animals as best as possible! 

The site is un manned. We thought this would increase flexibility for our campers as lots of other sites have complaints about vacating/arrival times, we are however on the end of a phone call or email. We do state this on our website and also on the welcome email address we send after booking. 

Our number is on our booking email, website and Google maps and Google  search. We provide information about the site at the entrance with interactive maps for local points of interest and walks accessed via QR codes.
