Really sad that you didn't enjoy and were disappointed with your stay at Puddle Cottage. Thankfully, this does not reflect the vast majority of other people who stay here, hence, the many positive reviews some as recently as November.  

It is true the landscape does not look it's best in winter/early spring and the photos on the website show it in early summer obviously looking better. However, it is not true to say that the site has not had any TLC. Only last autumn we spent over £1600 on new stone for the hardstanding pitches. 

The shower facilities are checked and cleaned regularly usually when people are out as that's when I can get to clean, which would explain why you didn't see me! Towels are changed regularly too and I have several sets the same colour but I will try bear in mind that when they are changed I use a different colour. It would not be economical in terms of energy usage to fit electric hand dryers. As a CL I already go above and beyond facilities offered with underfloor heating in the shower room.

The wooden bench in the shower room had one of the slats broken and on assessment because the other slats were all intact I didn't feel it was dangerous. However, I have taken on board your comment and I have removed the broken slat and I feel it is still very sturdy. 

I'll try not to let your review dishearten me as everyone is entitled to an opinion. Unfortunately, the ratio is for every negative you need 7 positives! Onwards and upwards 'can't win them all'. 

We cannot understand the views of Harding 460. We have stayed on this CL many times over the years and have always found it well maintained and clean. As for facilities, to have a walk in shower, under floor heating with lovely hot water and 2 toilets is indeed a luxury on any CL.

Michelle is the perfect hostess and is always ready to listen if you have any issues or require information. I do not know why the concerns expressed were not raised with her instead of leaving early and then writing a negative review. I hope it does not put off anyone else who is thinking of spending some time there.

I am sure she will not miss the business of Harding 460. There is just no pleasing some people! More room for the rest of us who appreciate a really great CL.

We've only managed to get to stay here once, we've tried on a few occasions but unfortunately for us the site has been FULL.

Read into that what you will as to it's popularity!

We found the site & facilities an absolute delight, clean, tidy & well kept!

Having such a lovely shower on a CL is a real bonus.
