Ease of arrival/welcome

Easter weekend might have been wet, but we enjoyed it!

After finding a lot of the CL sites in the area waterlogged from recent heavy rains, was pleased to find Rails end open and relieved for the 3 hardstanding pitches (they do have control matting under some of the grass pitches) but as we have a heavier motorhome grateful for the hardstanding. For the start of April, with it raining as well, the grass areas were as you would expect soft underfoot but then so were most of the walks up on the hill, more a reflection of the weather / time of year than the site itself. Jackie and Andrew were lovely hosts, checking to see all was ok even though have stayed here before. Lots to do locally, bus stop within walking distance into either Evesham one direction or Tewkesbury via all the villages, the other. Local wildlife aplenty especially in the wild orchard with a walk around other side of the hedge, peace and quiet only interrupted by the odd pheasant. Will be back.
