Smashing Spot

A lovely CL with all you need. It well sheltered with high conifers on two sides, but depending where you pitch you can get a peek at the view of the ‘Hill’. Although, it does not have huge views, it is very spacious hence feels open. The wildlife is a big plus - birds galore visit- red kites, kestrels and lots of garden usual visitors. We would imagine in Summer when you can use grass pitches it would a delightful chilling spot. The two hardstanding were brilliant for February wetness, there was lots of surface water in surrounding area and little floods during our visit but nice and dry on the hardstanding. Sadly didn’t get round to visiting local pub but looks smashing and 5-10 minutes easy safe walk. Seems area quite well served with buses to as stated in previous reviews. The walks and footpaths from the site are vast and too many to mention. A brilliant spot with lots to do even if you are like us in a mohome and just pitch up, and do everything else by walk/bus/cycle. The owner, Jackie, needs special mention as she is a lovely lady who was a delight. She was so friendly whilst booking on the phone, and she was so welcoming on our arrival too. Thoroughly recommend, and we hope to be back to get done all we didn’t get round too.
