Warm Welcome

We stayed here three nights. We received a warm welcome from Jackie. The site has everything you need, however we felt it does need some tlc. Not the prettiest of sites, but the wildlife and bird song is fantastic. Although the weather wasn’t good, we felt the area around the toilet emptying area was very muddy and overgrown and similarly with the drinking water tap, they could do with some paving slabs and a general tidy of the areas. The hard standings are quite close together and very rough if you want to sit out in the summer. There is an excellent pub within easy walking distance and a bus stop at the end of the lane which takes you to either Tewkesbury or Evesham. There is a small hut containing local information and a great selection of Jackie’s home made jams and chutneys. We would stay here again for the tranquility, but as we’ve said it could do with some tlc to make it a more pleasant stay. The electricity is metered and a very fair way of paying for it.

Thank you for your comments and for choosing to visit us.

This winter /spring has been an exceptionally wet one hence the mud. We are in the process of slabbing the area and adding more hedging/fencing. The hardstanding is ready to be topped that is the pile in the parking area) with a less bumby surface so that should also help although most people sit out on the grass in the more clement weather
