£9 with EHU is extremely good value. The site is on a working farm as mentioned. So one can be sitting there watching the chickens wander around the field. In the adjoining pasture 11 delightful sheep & 5 cockerels to entertain one while drinking coffee, beer etc.(us drinking not them). Very well placed for visiting the local area down the Northumberland Coast. Inland to Rothbury ,Alnwick and through the beautiful Northumberland National Park Area. Now the downside. As mentioned already this site is right by the A1 and is noisy even through the night. Next to the site is a lorry park where vehicles head out early in the morning. So be aware of this. Alnwick is the closest place for a supermarket. There is a Morrisons right in the centre with 3 hrs free parking. If you crave total quiet then don't pitch up next to the A1.If you want a conveniently placed site then this is a good choice.
