Little Beasts!

We have just got back from 9 nights here. The weather was glorious apart from the last afternoon and evening when it bucketed it down. We raced back from Saxmundham to get the awning down just in time. We very rarely saw the owners and felt that a notice giving telephone numbers for nearest A&E, Dentist and Vet would have been useful. The site rather oddly has two of the hook-up points located in the middle of the available space, so just watch out when reversing! As stated in previous review there were farm dogs who did bark on occasion, at what we were not sure. Farms, are however, working places, so do expect some machinery moving around at busy times. There is lots to do and see in the area, we went on a lunch trip on The Lady Florence, which takes you for a 3.5 hour journey with comentary up and down the river with lunch included. Not particularly cheap but very enjoyable. Also can highly recommend Orford Ness, Orford Castle and for those of you with dogs The Jolly Sailor near Orford Quay is dog friendly. However, a little poem to warn you of the Beasts in our review title. The Raydon Hall Gnat is a futive beast, Small of size but, Ohh, what teeth, Carefully he lays his trap, And waits for you at the water tap! I got very badly bitten the first night of our stay and so did someone in an adjoining van. Long trousers very definately when filling up the Aquaroll!
