We have been to this CL approx. 30 times so I guess we quite like it and it is our regular bold hole for short weekend breaks. A perfect CL with hands off owners, infact I never met them until I had been coming for 18 months! you just leave your money in an envelop at the back door and pitch where you want. Please do this sympathetically as you can easily get 3 vans on the front of the field with views to the coast. Often we find people pitched with big windbreaks and cars in such a position as to restrict this. Field is always well kept and clean and tidy. In Orford you have the best corner shop in England 2012, the best Suffolk bakery 2012 and a local butcher with superb meat and a fresh fish shed on the quay selling line caught cod only a few hours old ! You may even see a BBC presenter, a doctor Who or even an Avenger kicking around ! Wildlife on the site can be abundant with barn owls, buzzards, kestrels, once had a muntjac deer and young in the hedge and even a weasel pops its head up from time to time!

For walkers there are paths abundant in the local area both inland and coastel and not to mention the fascinations of Orford Ness
