We have just returned from spending two nights at this gem of a site. We were made to feel very welcome by Sally and she even provided us with some fresh eggs from the site's chickens. The location is ideal for exploring this part of Suffolk. There is a very well shocked shop and post office opposite the site. We also had a lovely meal from the Chinese takeaway, also located across the road. The site is a 15 walk down to the Butt and Oyster pub, with its fine Adnams ales and views across the River Orwell. There are plenty of walking options from the site. We spent one day walking a 10 mile circular walk, across to the River Stour, through Shotley, ending up back at the Orwell and the Butt and Oyster pub.
