A great place to relax.

We stayed 11 nights on this site and thoroughly enjoyed it. The owners were friendly and welcoming, giving us lots of information on what to do. They were attentive in checking that we were comfortable. The shower and toilet facilities are good (showers cost 50p for a token). We managed to position our van to get a good view of Snowdon. There were animals in the fields about us and chickens in the site itself- these proved to be favourites with our children. The nearest beach was 10 minutes drive away although there are many other beaches and places of interest in the locality. If you are looking for peace and quiet away from the commercial sites this is well worth a visit. We intend to be back.

A little gem of Tranquility

Arrived on site to a warm welcome by Mrs Roberts, a very easy site to both access and find. Mr Roberts made a point of coming to welcome us when he returned. Both are very knowledgeable of the local area and if not sure would offer to find out for you, they were both interested as to where you had been and were going and would recommend things to see and do to ensure you seen the best of the area. The site was very well maintained, toilets and shower spotless. It was very peaceful and tranquil. The free-range Chicken kept us well entertained. Knowing that he would not not be there the morning we left, Mr Roberts made a point of coming to say goodbye the night before and to check that we had enjoyed out visit and wished us a safe journey. Would certainly recommend . We definitely will be revisiting again.

What more could you wish for?

A good size, well tended field with plenty of EHU to choose from. Some pitches with views to Snowden. Well placed for Caernarfon, Portmadog and Snowdonia. Very friendly welcome.

Excellent "welcome pack"

A lovely quiet site with good access. Of particular note was the excellent bundle of tourist information leaflets that was given to us on our arrival. Apart from that I can only endorse the comments of the previous reviewers. A good place to stay

Excellent situation, well managed site

An attractive, well located and well managed site.  Mr & Mrs Roberts take an active daily interest in maintaining their site to the highest standards. Everything is kept tidy and the facilities are immaculate.  All that you can see is very easy on the eyes, the grass is well manicured, there is plenty of open space, the surrounding buildings are tidy, the free range chickens are entertaining and there are views over open countryside (you can see Snowdon, cloud permitting). Mr Roberts ensures that those staying on site are content with everything and are problem free.  Furthermore, if he can contribute anything that will help you to make the best of your holiday then he will; with us that started with the bundle of information he handed us on arrival, better than some of your holiday reps. And, as I found out in my hour of need with car difficulties, he is concerned with the well-being of those staying on his site and is willing to go that extra mile and put himself out to ensure a happy resolution to problems. The site is well situated within easy reach of anything you might wish to get involved in.  Just a few minutes away to the tarmac easy-peasy cycle trail to Caernafon. In terms of value and enjoyment of a site I don’t think it gets any better than this.

Great location

I wanted to add a few details that I feel are missing from other reviews and a word of thanks. The owners Mr & Mrs Roberts were delightful and very helpful. We needed a parcel  to be delivered and they insisted we go out as they were going to be around all day to sign for it, thank you. The site is sloping so you will need blocks. The best pitches are at the top of the field as this has the sun the longest. Don't feed the chickens no matter how tempted you maybe as they will never leave you, but they are fun to see walking around the site, Mr Roberts does warn you. There is a gem of a bike ride route that runs all the way from the village a mile away into Caernarfon all apart from the first mile off road. It brings you out near the base of the castle. A day out in Llanberis is a real treat and Electric Mountain at £8.50 each is a very interesting visit. The Welsh National Slate Museum is not only free but really very good. There is also a waterfall that can be visited in the area within walking distance. The only thing we missed was the train up Snowdon feeling £27 a head at the time too expensive. Great place I think most people won't be disappointed. Wanted to add showers are 50p a go.

Perfect peace and tranquility.

What an amazing find, a beautifully lawned site with views of Mt Snowdon, excellent facilities a very entertaining  and helpful owner, who has put a great deal of effort into  making this such an  idyllic place to stay. Delightfully friendly chickens and perfect peace, wild flowers such as foxgloves, campion and milkwort. You really felt you were deep in the countryside.

great site for peace and quiet

we have just stayed for 4 days and I rate this site as one if the best we have stayed at, I always use C.L. sites because you get to see the farming community. Mr and Mrs Roberts have put a lot of time and effort into Creating this tranquil site, the shower, toilet and the lay out of the pitches are spot on. Each pitch is spaced out . If you're lucky enough to have the bottom pitch you can wake up with Mount Snowdon as a view point . The location of the site is Ideal for visiting Snowdonia and Porthmadog. I will be booking again for next year
