We’ve been to this absolute gem of a site for a dozen holidays now, it’s become kind of a family tradition! Yes, I know, I hear you, ‘surely there’s other places to holiday right’? Yep, maybe so, but when a place offers you absolutely everything you want and need from a break away with the family, it’s hard to not get on that phone to Paula and get booked in! From the fabulous sized pitches, the lovely clean facilities, the absolutely stunning view from the top of the main driveway or the fantastic welcome that you always receive, it’s everything that makes a great site great. The standard stuff then: Supermarkets & town not very far away – tick Easy access to site – Yep Level pitches – Nailed it Clean facilities – Spot on Being in the heart of the Beacons it offers such fantastic scenery and has great walks direct from the site. Alternatively take the short drive up the A470 toward Pen-Y-Fan to really explore what is on offer. It's in a great location for visiting many country parks, areas of outstanding natural beauty, and also the bigger cities such as Swansea or Cardiff. We always make the drive to Aberavon beach which is always a great day out. But that’s not what makes Rhydywernen Farm a fantastic place to stay. It’s so much more than that. Our post evening tea stroll regularly sees us up with the cows at the shed, the sheep at the top field or at the donkeys gate waiting for their evening fuss off us. And who doesn’t love lending a helping hand when it comes to goat feeding time right. A personal favourite, counting sheep into the back of a trailer, haha! Who knew that counting sheep was actually so difficult!!!! For children and adults alike, under the watchful eye of Paula, Richard, Leah & Cerys, there is no doubt whatsoever that you’ll enjoy getting involved. Rhydywernen Farm has been a special place to us for many years now, not only because of what it offers in terms of a holiday, but how it makes you feel when you are there.
