We stayed here for 2 nights in June and were greeted on arrival by Paula who was really helpful and friendly and offered us a choice of pitches. The site has a lovely relaxed feel and is a great location for both Brecon town and Pen Y Fan, Cribyn etc with some of the best walking in the UK. You can walk to either town or hills from the site via very quiet country lanes. The access to the site could not be easier, no concern over narrow lanes or blind corners, it is just off the main road but lower than the road so very little traffic noise. We found the site to be surprising quiet and tranquil. There is direct access to a few small water falls and the river runs at the bottom of the site. Any of the pitches away from the farm track would give you the relaxing sound of the river and some have access for a paddle in the water, great for cooling tired feet after a day walking the hills. The hard standing pitches are well spaced and level which is great. No need for any ramps. The facilities are well organised, varied and well kept. We didn’t use the toilets or showers as we are self contained but there are a number of water points with hand sanitisers and a tidy recycling area, washing up, showers etc. The Elsan emptying point has been very well thought through, is simple yet perfect. It’s never a pleasant job but this one makes it so easy, there is easy grey water disposal too with a drain behind the main service block. We will return to this lovely site again when walking the Brecon Beacons.
