Lovely little CL

We just spent a lovely 4 nights here when visiting the local area for various other reasons, including visiting the Yorkshire Showground, Harrogate, Knaresborough and Fountains Abbey. All within easy travelling distance. It is beautifully kept/maintained and the exclusive shower and toilets are spotless. Jo, the owner is super-friendly and helpful and I couldn't resist buying a couple of plants from the nursery!

First not last

Finally, we managed to get booked on here after three failed attempts due to popularity. We arrived just after one and met by the cheerful owner who explained and showed us everything on site then told us where to pitch south facing. Ideal for Knaresborough and surrounding areas with or without a car due to local transport links. On site facilities are clean and a really useful addition. Plenty of eateries and pubs near by and lovely walks. Have already booked for 2023 before leaving to ensure a spot, if you wish to visit this peaceful beautiful site then book early. Thanks for a lovely autumnal stay.

Brilliant site. We will be back!

We booked here as had to attend a conference at Leeds but also wanted to explore the surrounding areas and stay in the countryside. The site is very well looked after with love and care from the hosts. We had a great view from our pitch of fields and trees and the facilities are so clean and nice. As it’s small it was really peaceful. We walked each day into Knaresborough and hopped on the train to Leeds and Harrogate. It was so accessible on foot for us as as enjoy walking. There are some lovely footpaths in the surrounding countryside and Knaresborough is such a pretty place with plenty to see and do. I went to the nursery one day and bought some lovely plants. Mrs P who runs it is just lovely and. I thing was too much trouble. Thanks for a lovely stay

A cracker!

We have been caravaners for 50 years now and few sites we know of can beat this one. On a main road but far enough back and masked by trees you wouldn't know it was there. I thoroughly agree with all the previous reviews. We were met by Jo, the lady owner who you could not fail to like, and she showed us the amenities which are pristine. She was on hand to give advice but she keeps well out of the way otherwise. Why have we not found this site before one asks? We are not going to give it a good review because we don't want it to be full the next time we want to go there !!! Oh go on then - its great, but save us a pitch.

Perfect for the Great Yorkshire Show

We chose this site as we wanted to have easy access to the Great Yorkshire Show , to avoid the queues. It was perfect - an easy drive or walk if your feeling energetic. As already said, the owners are very friendly and helpful ,facilities are well maintained and spotlessly clean. It’s also very central for visiting the local attractions in this lovely part of Yorkshire. We’ll definitely be back.

Short trip to North Yorkshire

We have recently spent three nights in this excellent CL site. Very clean and tidy with friendly owners. The purpose of our stay was to visit York and it’s wonderful Minster which certainly has the wow factor. Knaresborough is easily reached by foot or bus from the site and a half hour train journey takes you to the centre of York near to the Minster. Harrogate is well worth a visit and again the bus from just outside the site is the best way. There is plenty of room on the site to distance and although the nursery was closed it all looks well cared for. We wouldn’t hesitate to return but it is a popular CL and booking is essential.

Great little CL

We stayed here for 3 nights on our way home from Scotland in July 2021, and we will definitely stay again. The site consists of a well mown grass field behind the nursery, surrounded by trees. We didnt have any rain so cant comment on drainage but the field is generally level and flat. Access is very easy from the A1, and although the driveway into the nursery is a little bendy there is plenty of width and height. Facilities consist of two toilets, one with a shower, and both kept very clean and tidy. All pitches have electric hook up. Owners are very friendly but unobtrusive. There is a discount for campers if you buy plants from the nursery. One of the best features of this site is the location. Knaresborough is a short (but hilly) walk away; its a pleasant market town and there are plenty of pubs and restaurants to choose from. You can catch a train from Knaresborough station to Harrogate (Bettys Tea Rooms) or York (Railway museum and cathedral). Supermarkets and petrol stations are a short drive away. We would recommend this site.

Weeks holiday

Just returned from a week's holiday at this CL close to Knaresborough. The pitches are in a small field set back away from the road so is very peaceful. The owners were friendly and helpful. The toilet and wet room were clean and tidy. Plenty of room for each pitch in a lovey sunny field. 10 minutes by car to morrisons. 10 minute walk to the Cricketers Pub and 20 minutes walk to Mother Shiptons Inn which has a lovely beer garden overlooking the River. Lots of walks in the area and places to visit. Close to Harrogate, 10 minutes on train, and to RHS Harlow Carr Gardens. Its a lovely CL and well worth a visit.
