noise but nice

Stayed here for 5 nights during late September really the best place in tywyn having stayed in most of the cl In and around this area. The main road is noisy but didn't spoil our holiday we were out all day anyway mainly on the front of tywyn were you can park for free yes free all day. Yes the facilities are basic so we used our own which are so much superior.  The owner was very helpful on arrival which you would expect, he did apologise about the container by the garage they are in the process of demolition of the old garage. On the whole the site is worth 4 stars.

Riverslea No good for disabled or trailer tents

My wife and I are both disabled and as we are not fit enough to mess with a caravan we spent the last few days of July 2016 at this site in a trailer tent. Access to the site is very good but the Certified Location signs were hidden in the foliage next to the entrance making us miss the site on the first pass. The pitches are level but the photograph of the site is not entirely accurate as the hedge on the left has gone and there is a mound of tarmac at the end of the field. At the time of our visit there had been a lot of rain and the grass could be slippery especially when attempting to navigate the path to the toilet and shower at the bottom of the garden some 100 yards away round the back of the house. Being in a trailer tent the canvas failed to protect us from the road noise which started about 6am and only ended after the public houses were closed. Price per night was £13 not the £10 stated on the website.

Convenient location

This site was easy to find, directly off a main road. The owner was friendly and welcoming. The shower room was located in the owner's back garden and had a wash basin, shower and loo. It was basic but clean and the shower was very good, although would benefit from a shower curtain as the floor got very soggy. Being the only shower room there was often a wait in the morning as the site was full with 5 campers. The site was in a convenient location to visit many beautiful places. Access was really easy but the road was so busy and noisy especially late at night and early hours of the morning, the locals really like speed! Mobile telephone and tv reception was poor but our fellow campers were ok must be something to do with our pitch being under a tree. Overall we enjoyed our stay just wished we had a different pitch away from the road.

Riverslea CL Review

My Family and I arrived here in August and what a gem of a site. The welcome was friendly and helpfull and we were guided to our pitch very quickly. Easy access for both Tywyn and Aberdovey and I must say one of the more straighforward CL's to get in and out of. (Yes the main road is next to the site and somepeople may not like the proximity however it's major plus in terms of access and no hassle arriving and departing). Generally a peacefull , well run site , owners very friendly and outgoing. There is one toilet and one shower (together not separate) in a building to the rear of the property and these are clean and well maintained. In our opinion a site we will be going to back to and is good value for money.
