Lovely Weekend

Stayed ar Riverslea for the end of May bank holiday weekend. Its a small site off the main road between Tywyn and Aberdyfi. I visited Dolgoch falls and both Tywyn and Aberdyfi beaches enjoying all. Sue was a wonderful host. She let me use her secure garden to exercise my dogs and gave great advice on where I was planning to go. The toilet was clean and the shower was excellent. The freeview signal was very good but EE and Three signal was non-existent. Fortunately I also had a Vodaphone sim which gave up to 15 meg download speed. I will definitely stay again as the local countryside is wonderful.

5 star welcome

Nice clean flat site. On a main road but no issue at night and this means very easy access. Toilet & shower - simple, clean & more than adequate. Stuart & Sue are wonderful hosts with the best welcome I’ve had at any site. Would definitely visit again.

Great site, great location

Great site, good facilities. Stuart the site owner is really helpful and imformative giving advice on local events where to eat etc.recommending restaurants even booking cabs for us. We have been coming here for a number of years now and have no complaints the views are amazing especially when the sun is setting in the evening, yes it is by a road but its not really that noisy as suggested by another reviewer. Great location for shops, I have stayed at other sites in the local area but none of them compare to this one. Recycling is encouraged and the facilities are there to accommodate this. Keep up the good work Stuart and see you next year for Race the train weekend. I would definitely recommend this site if you are visiting the area, good value for what's available.

A difficult one

This is a difficult one. The grass is short and collected , The site is level. A handy roadway down the middle. Stuart the owner is lovely and very helpfull. The shower and toilet are very adequate although I don't think I have ever been on a site where the toilet and shower is used by so many campers. It was free and clean. We stayed for almost 3 weeks and enjoyed our stay there. We asked Stuart if we owed him any more for our daughter, partner. and granddaughter spending a week with us, and another granddaughter and boyfriend spent a weekend with us. There was no extra charge which i thought was wonderful.one and a half miles to Twywn beach/ town. 5 miles to Dol Golch waterfalls. and on the way back a must is the honey ice cream factory. Four miles takes you to the quaint Aberdifi, with its beach and sand dunes. Now the bits I didn't want to mention, sorry Stuart. i so disagree with sites advertised at £10 a night and when you enquire they are £15 a night. Your site with shower/ toilet is worth it. Next the site is very narrow and if you are on the hedge side with views to the front you are looking into opposite caravan windows. Also the noise from the road is not too bad, its' the idiot drivers who speed at speeds well over 60/70/80 + mph. brrrummmm brummm past the site that startle and create the noise. All that said if I wanted to visit this area again, I would stay here.

Dissapointing

Not all it seems, when you are on the site it is as if you are pushed in beside someone's house with nothing but a few bushes separating you from a very busy noisy road and the railway track on the other. A shed with a shower which is very clean, nothing else we can say about it

Good CL and Good Location

Yes, may be traffic noise during day, but not that bad during day and not noisy in evening/overnight. Have been on many other sites which are noisier. Site well appointed and well kept. Owner very friendly and helpful - will definitely stay there again !

Tidy site

Good CL site. Very tidy, toilet and show excellent. Yes it is by the road but this makes it easy for visiting the towns and seaside either way. Grass mown, recycling on site well marked as also all facilities. Would recommend it .

Very nice site

Was in the area recently and had nothing booked but spotted the sign from the main road and ended up staying 4 nights. Main road is busy-ish during the day but not overly, and at night goes quiet. The owner has built a nice toilet and shower facility for which there is no charge and the site is level and has enough space to give privacy. Owners are helpful without being intrusive, Stuart (the owner) seems very au fait with where to go, what to do etc. We bussed it to nearby Aberdovey and enjoyed the pubs and restaurants there. Short walk to Tywyn the nearest town which is not is pretty as Aberdovey but has good amenities (e.g., large co-op only 20 minutes walk from site) Overall great value and site, a very nice area to visit!
