Lovely CL

We travelled down to the site during Storm Noa so very wet and windy but what a lovely site. We couldn’t use our awning so had to store it in the shower compartment which meant I had to use the on-site shower block. Small but functional and had everything that was needed. The site looks nice in the photos but is even better in reality with nice views and some pitches have views of the airport. The owners were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Will definitely be coming back, not just because we have family nearby but because it is such a lovely place.

Another wonderful ten days

Another warm welcome from Martin and his father, plus the added bonus of upgrading works to the shower and toilet block, which when finished will make a huge difference to this wonderful site. New individual water supplies to each pitch too. Cannot wait to return later in the year.

Two enjoyable weeks

This was the first ever CL we stayed in, and we have been returning ever since. A hugely popular site, in particular due to the storage facilities, so many members store their vans and the owners bring them out as required. Five gravel pitches plus additional grassy spaces to one side. A shower block, showing its age now sadly, and good disposal facilities. Martin is a really friendly owner, his father also, they just need to learn when to say 'no, we are full,' otherwise the tranquility of the site could be ruined, which would be a real shame.

Bitter and Sweet

The bitter part of the title refers to us having to tell others about this site. The SWEET part is what a great place this is as is the owner who had time to talk and tell us about the local area. Very nice facilities. We will be back. Full marks.

First timer with caravan - first site

As first timers out with the caravan, we found the experience very pleasant. Easy to locate, easy access, peaceful and flat. Facilities are basic but very clean and more than adequate, plenty of hot water, inclusive showers and well lit. Own tap so no humping water distances - all very civilized Ideal for a stopover if traveling further south

a very pleasant site

Very pleasant well maintained site.  A warm welcome.  Great having water at each pitch. Although dry whilst we were there - hard standing always welcome in the increasingly variable weather we have. For those studying local or family history, very convenient for access to Devon County Record Office. Directions in book don't work if travelling from North - there is no sign to Rockbeare.  But still exit at Junct 29, take left lane, signed Science Park and then veer right onto old A30 towards Cranbrook.

Everything that you need

I stayed here as a stopover on my way to west Cornwall.

Easy to find, convenient for approach from the A30 or M5. Well seperated pitches, part hard, even in this watersoaked winter the pitches were firm, individual water and electric stands, a superb toilket block, shower. In close proximity there is a restaurant and pub. Martin made me very welcome, park up first and pay later. Very impressive. Outstanding facilities in beautiful surroundings with excellent connections to trunk roads.
