Great site in great location.

Lovely peaceful site in a small village with good local pub and village shop 2 mins walk away. Well situated between southern end of Norfolk Broads and beautiful Suffolk coast. Host Peter was very helpful and friendly without being intrusive, and had obviously put a lot of thought into the site. Very spacious flat field with post between each 2 pitches with light, water and electric. Waste very organised and refuse split up for recycling. Whole site kept immaculately. Nice view over open fields. Will definately return.

Rural Tranquility!

Lives up to all expectations - very quiet & peaceful, the only sound from a small trundling local train. Well laid out CL, level and spacious pitches. Bonus to have water at electric points plus a light on the bollard. Good waste & recycling facilities. Excellent position with handy local pub (you need to book!) and shop and very close to lots of Suffolk's best places. Can recommend the White Hart Inn at Blythburgh - excellent meal. Sure once it features in the handbook it will be fully booked most of the time.

Superb site for Southwold

A really superb site that we have visited twice this year already. Superb for families (we have 3 small children who love this site) with loads of space and a really good play area within walking distance in the village. Run to the highest standards and Peter is a superb host. Southwold is about 15 minutes away but this site is million miles away from the crowds of Southwold in summer and is tranquil and peaceful. Can't recommend highly enough and we will be back

Newly established site, set up to the very highest standard

This CL has only been open about a year, and the facilities and layout are possibly the best we have experienced on a CL. The site is very spacious, the grass is regularly mown, every pitch has a water tap incorporated with the hook up, and the emptying point is very well constructed. Fences and gate are all new and high quality. Peter was very welcoming and friendly, and was often around to give advice. The toilet was clean and well maintained, though being sited in one of the sheds beyond the site, is some distance to walk especially for those on the most distant pitches. We felt that the charge of £12 per night was very good value for such an excellent site. The location is delightful, three miles from the peaceful little town of Halesworth, and with easy road access to Beccles, Bungay and Southwold.

Lovely CL

We have just arrived home after four nights at this lovely CL. It has been a pleasure to stay here; the pitches are good, with water and power close to hand and a good, level site to make pitching much more hassle free. There is a local pub and a shop a few minutes walk away and Halesworth and Beccles are a short drive. The owner was very welcoming and accommodating as well. Try his honey, it's excellent!

Peaceful. Setting

I have just returned from a four night break and what a stay I had. Beautiful site that was so quiet other than a very distant passing train. Met and greeted by Peter the owner who showed me to my pitch. Water pressure good and a proper 16 amp easy to use hook up.  Toilet was always immaculate, and the nearby ducks also broke the silence. Great cycling country and I certainly took advantage of this. Nearby pub had just reopened and was friendly with a fine selection of local ales.  Food excellent also.  Overall can't praise too highly.  I really wanted to say it was a poor stay to put off future members from crowding me out,  but.  Can't.  Many thanks Peter and. Caroline. See u again soon.    Neil.  Aka Latty

Would not hesitate to return again

Second season for this site which has been thought out with us caravaners in mind. Well maintaine grass site which will only get better when shrubs etc more established. Added bonus is lights on each water point (shared between 2 pitches). Good views from all pitches and friendly owners. Would certainly recommend.

Easter break

We spent a 5 night break with three kids and grandparents in two vans. It is a lovely spot, tucked away.  Very clean and tidy with huge size pitches and very convenient water and electric. Nice and level too. Great for dogs and well fenced. The entrance would be easy to miss as between houses and a little tight for larger units but we managed (quite new to it).

There is a train track close, but it is only a local train once or twice an hour from about 7am-10pm My only grumble would be paying an extra £1 a night for each child making it £15 a night for us.  This would put me off returning as there are many CLs in the area charging £6-£12 a night. Still recommend it highly though.

Comment from The Club:

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review and we are delighted that you had a wonderful Easter Break at Rookery Farm.

Many thanks for bringing this to our attention.  We have discussed the pricing structure with the CL owner of Rookery Farm and we have clarified his pricing schedule and amended the website accordingly so that it reflects the costs in a clearer and easier to understand manner.

As per page 270 of the Sites Directory and Handbook :-

Fees: please note the price shown is the minimum you can expect to pay and pitch fees may be subject to variation……..  Please check before booking……  there might also be charges for additional people, pets, awnings, etc.”

Again many thanks for taking the time to leave a review and we look forward to reading further reviews on The Club website of site you have stayed at.
