Another great 5 night stay at this wonderful site with frosty morning walks around the lakes which were covered in a thin layer of ice due to minus 5 overnight temperatures. Ducks skating along the top looking for the small areas of ice free waters, whilst we also had to source our water from an interior source until the sun had done its job and thawed the outside taps, but all part of the fun. The site looks totally different in the winter to that of summer but still a magical place whatever time of year. Yes the showers were a tad cold until the hot water came through, but that didn’t put us off and showered every morning. Although there had been a fair amount of rain the days before we arrived, the ground was firm and our 4.5 tonne motorhome had no issues on arrival or departure. We will back again soon.
