Info on Site

Nice friendly people, but the club haven't changed the contact number yet, so to book ring 01242 820901. If it wasn't due to unforeseen circumstances out of our control then it would of been ideal. Hope to see you soon.

Great for Access to the Cotswold Way

HUGE level pitches! Marvellous if you have a big outfit, awning etc. Hard standing and grass to each pitch. All are individual with high hedges so you have complete privacy. Such a rarity on a CL- or anywhere come to that. No one around when we arrived so we just chose the empty pitch that suited us best. The owner appeared the next afternoon. All very relaxed and understated, perhaps a little understated for some. Wonderful area for walking and looks very pretty BUT and I am afraid this is a huge but for us, the road noise from the A40 was incessant and overwhelming. If this doesn't bother you then this is a great CL though I thought £14.00 a night was a bit expensive for the level of amenities but I suppose it's average for the area.

Weekend before Easter

Lovely site but just don't turn left at end of lane as dead end and then difficult to turn into site. Just keep going straight ahead and the pitches are there. Mr Bloxham was very friendly and welcoming and the site is kept very well. Electricity, water and disposal all easily accessible and no issues. The Indian across the road is very good and has some unusual dishes and proper desserts (not just ice cream in a coconut shell). Some road noise from A40 but nothing that spoilt a great weekend Plenty of good walks around including Cotswold way. Enjoyed the sunshine

Good Old Fashioned CL

Ken the owner is such a lovely man who keeps a hidden gem. Talk about your own privacy, you get to stay in your own bit hidden by trees. course a walk for water will soon have you meeting others. Our 2nd visit as we did the Cotswolds before but so much more to see.

November overnighting

Cheltenham Racecourse closed for winter and Briarfields full!  We've used Salts farm a few years back, but haven't been for a while.   Mr Bloxham just as welcoming, and site still pleasant and, as has been said, nice private pitches with hard standing surrounded by grass. No sitting out this time - November, cool & some overnight rain - but would be fine for a longer stay.  Longish electric lead useful as the power point is centralised.

August Stopover

Great site with individual pitches surrounded by hedging, very private.  Only draw back was finding the lane as there is no sign.  On the A40 heading towards Charlton Kings, after you pass the Indian Restaurant on the left look out for the industrial site entrance on the right after 200 yds (The Barlands). Turn your outfit around here (you should have space to do 180degrees in the junction).  As you come back on yourself look out for the dirt track that splits off to the left, head down this and the site is at the bottom. Very friendly owner. We will be stopping again.

The perfect site for long or short stays.

Stayed on this site for three days whilst on our way to Devon. Offers something rare which is almost total privacy with hedges between each pitch. We like walking our dogs and it was ideal for this, as the Cotswold Way runs directly by the site. There is a little tea room  no more than a couple of hundred yards up the way and an Indian restaurant within walking distance. Mr Bloxham is most welcoming and keeps on top of the grass as soon as the pitch is clear. A great stop off place for us and perhaps a longer stay

Excellent Value for Money

We stayed here back in April this year and I realise i never left a review. I am from Cheltenham originally and my family still live there and we spent the weekend there.   We were pleasantly surprised by the size of the pitches, all have plenty of room and I would imagine perfect for children.  Hedges split the pitches and provide some privacy. Will definitely stay here again to visit the family etc.   Owners really friendly and helpful, Sixways is a short drive away with lovely shops and restaurants, we walked it as we wanted a few drinks.  You will definitely need a torch to walk back up if you're going after dark.   We nearly drove past the entrance and weren't sure if we had the right place, but that would be my only negative, but if you suss it out on streetview first it should be easier.

A Brilliant CL

This was our third stay at this CL. Its such a lovely location, a very well maintained site and you're made to fell very welcome. The pitches are superb, each surrounded by a hedge, with ample space to park and each with its own grassed area. Nearby is the Cotswold way, so if you like walking its perfect. There are plenty of good dog walks nearby. Local shops in Cheltenham are 2 minutes drive away. Already looking forward to our next stay at this site.

Perfect Pitches

This site is in our top 3. Each pitch is surrounded by a hedge and all all pitches are of a very good size. This has been our 2nd visit to this site and we will be going again in the summer. It may not have a toilet block but lets face it caravans and motor homes have these anyway so who needs a toilet/shower block!! We have 3 black labradors and this site is perfect for walks for them and because the pitches are a good size there is space for our 5 year old daughter to run around safely till her hearts content (perfect tired dogs tired daughter and a glass of wine!!) Shopping etc within easy drive and Cheltenham town centre is very clean and has good shops. There is a main road not far away however far enough away not to be a hazzard to dogs or children and to be honest you dont really here the traffic. This site could just do with a sign at the top of the road letting you know its there as could easily be missed as its down a long off road driveway off the London Road (still easily accessable for caravan and car etc). We had a fantastic 4 days here and came away feeling relaxed and refreshed. The gentleman who owns this site is a lovely man, he comes after you have arrived and picked your pitch and doesnt bother you again however lives very close (walking distance 2 minutes) if you have any problems. Perfect owner for a perfect site. Many Thanks
