Super short stay

We stayed for 2 nights with our daughter and grandchildren. We had a lovely welcome from Mike, his horse in the adjacent field and his two friendly dogs! Mike very kindly agreed that our grandaughter could pitch her small tent between our 2 pitches - there is plenty of room and each pitch has hook up and are level. Emptying points for grey water, cassette, rubbish etc., clean convenient and well kept. It is a very peaceful and quiet site - lots of birdsong. We used our own facilities, but the shower and toilet block is just a short walk in the yard if needed. We visited the Suffolk Punch Trust just a short drive away - well worth the trip. There is lots of room on site - the grandchildren set up swing ball without inconveniencing our neighbours! We'll definitely be returning - thank you Mike for making us so comfortable.

Very pleasant field on a farm

We had a lovely welcome from the local horse (in the adjacent field) and the site owners dog's. The site itself is fairly level and each of the 5 pitches has it's own EHU. Lovely and quiet here and some footpaths to walk for as many miles as you might care to do. The last half a mile or so is done a narrow lane, so don't arrive too early, or you might meet a vacating caravan! A very pleasant stay at this CL. We shall return.

Peace and tranquility in the countryside

We are currently enjoying a 5 night stay on this beautiful CL. The site is immaculately kept, very pretty and very private being situated in the middle of nowhere at the end of a no through road.

The site is spacious with EHU. The water and waste points etc are very clean and tastefully hidden with prudent planting. There are even showers and toilets open and available in the adjacent farmyard. (this is no longer a working farm). We haven't needed them as we are using our own facilities but still nice to know.

The owners are friendly and helpful. They keep bees and free range hens which ensures a constant supply of fresh eggs and honey available to purchase.

The only sounds are the birds and the lack of light pollution allows full enjoyment of the night skies. The views are stunning over open fields or trees in three directions and over the owners elderly horse living out his retirement in the adjoining paddock/stable in the other!

There are lots of lovely walks from the site plus picturesque villages and places of interest to visit. There are 7 dog friendly beautiful beaches within a short travelling distance by car and these are an absolute joy.

Can thoroughly recommend.

Tranquil and delightful

The three of us, dog included, really enjoyed our time here. We stayed for a week in August and visited places from Orford, through to Woodbridge and up to Southwold. Our dog loved the walks around the farm, with the 5m field margins of well mowed grass. We even walked into Charsfield from the site. Shower and facilities were an added bonus.

Peaceful site

We had 6 nights staying here. The site is very peaceful, surrounded by fields and a horse paddock. The toilets and shower are basic, but adequate. There are many places to visit within a 30 minute drive. The final half a mile to the site is on a single track road, but Mike makes sure that there are not people arriving and leaving at the same time. Mike was very friendly and welcoming.

Location, location, location!

We stayed here last weekend and were really impressed. As the site is at the end of a quiet lane, there is no through traffic at all, so there was only the sound of birds and happy campers to be enjoyed. It is ideally situated for trips to Suffolk's beautiful coast. Framlingham is worth a visit for its castle and independent shops. There is also a good-sized co-op that sells the usual provisions plus local specialities. Mike is a friendly and helpful chap. He greeted us on arrival and popped down at intervals to check everything was alright. Can't comment on the toilets and showers as we used our own facilities. They are located on the other side of the horse paddock in the farmyard. We were the second visitors to this wonderful CL. We wish Mike and his family all the best with this new venture.
