Relaxing stay in Woodchurch Kent

Nice little CL. Easy to find. Well set out. Grass well kept. Quiet and relaxing. Good views across the fields. Helpful, friendly owners .Also a very handy shop selling milk bread etc. Well situated for visits to a lot of interesting places. Also the coastal resorts. Stayed 3 nights. Would use again if visiting this area of Kent.

Peaceful and quiet

Looked for availability over the jubilee week and was happy to receive a reply from Julie offering space on their site, Shamwari. Great communication and quick reply to any messages sent. On arrival we were welcomed by Brian who showed us to the pitch, also advising us we were the only van on site. Couldn’t believe that there were no others on site, such a well presented and maintained site with a few extras such as an honesty shop and cycle hire available. Honesty shop reasonably priced with a good selection of essentials available. So quiet all day giving us a lovely sleep. Good access and well maintained and level pitches even though not hard standing. Not too far from main towns and sites of interest, we are relatively local but found some lovely little villages on our walks with our dog. Nearby Woodchurch has 2 nice pubs serving food, the welcome pack they have put together gives good advice on where to go, eating, visiting or otherwise. Good basic facilities and reliable ehu. Would definitely recommend and would return.

Tranquility

Brian and Julie have worked extremely hard to make this a special experience. The site is well laid out with easy access. On arrival you are given a very informative welcome pack plus a fob for the gate making you feel very secure. Access to all amenities involves minimal walking and the chemical waste point very easy to use. The space between pitches is generous with lovely views over the grassy pitching area, fields and hills. Plenty of bird life as well as numerous spitfire sightings. This site is well worth a visit and we throughly enjoyed our recent six night stay. We will definitely be returning.

A hidden gem!

We stayed here for a week in June. Fabulous place with a warm welcome from Julie and Brian (oh, and not forgetting Rodney the dog!!). The site is kept exceptionally neat and tidy, with beautiful flower beds and a garden pond. Bike hire, including electric bikes is available at reasonable rates. The honesty shop is filled with things you might just need at reasonable prices. There is a petanque court where you can play boules and even the boules are available to borrow. We won't hesitate to return as there's still lots we can explore and do in the area. Thoroughly recommended!!

Just lovely!

This is such a lovely, well maintained site. It’s fairly close to home for us so perfect for a night or two. Peaceful, beautiful surroundings and level field. We love it when we can rock up and not have to get the levelling ramps out! Because we only stayed for one night for my sons first test out of his new Campervan we didn’t explore or go for a walk but may stay longer next time to do so. Information relating to pubs in the area provided with the owners review of each. The fact that it’s an adult only site appeals to us so we were happy to pay a little more than we would normally expect to for a CL. It was worth it! We met both Brian and Julie who were friendly and helpful and we would definitely recommend this site and will return.

Great Place to stay in south Kent

Brian and Julie go to such trouble to make this CL site really enjoyable. Nothing was too much trouble for them and the field is kept immaculately clean, has great view towards the Kent South Downs. It has everything you need and more, including a special boules park, herbs to add to your dinner, fish pond and fish food to tempt the fish, etc.

Excellent base to explore this area of Kent

Brian and Julie have created an idyllic spot and are very considerate and welcoming hosts. This is our second stay here and we have used it as a base to visit many of the English Heritage and National Trust sites in the surrounding area. A couple of good pubs within walking distance ( approx 2 miles) with many more within easy driving distance. Highly recommended.

Visited this site a few times now....just beautiful

The site owners are very welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble to ensure you enjoy your stay with them. Plenty of space on the site and beautiful surroundings. We had the good fortune to see a Spitfire fly past and a number of other prop planes which fly from the Headcorn Aerodrome. A great place to visit if you have the time. First time we stayed here we were on our way to catch an early morning ferry across to France, perfect location to get on the motorway and just a short drive to the port. Highly recommend this site for a tranquil chill out or site seeing the Kent countryside and all it has to offer. Hope to go back again before the end of the year.
