Ease of arrival/welcome

Not Too Bad

Easy to find but be careful on approach site is after two sharp bends . Good wide entrance but lane down to site is hard-core and was full of holes on our arrival bot most of these were filled in during our stay . Pleasant tidy field to pitch in (grass field further in) hardstanding pitches at front part looked a little old and scruffy . Only 10 amp electric so be mindful when using your appliances (easy to reset if you trip , which we did ) .Toilet and shower in same room , but plenty of room and nice and clean , if a little tired looking , Gas shower so was hot and powerful jet , and hot and cold at sink as well . 2 more toilets round back if main one is occupied but these are shared with stable staff (all female ) so could be a little embarassing . On-site cafe open at weekends serving lovely All-Day breakfast and afternoon teas for which we were given discount vouchers for on arrival . Local shop and take-away by Ann Boleyn pub nearby and a little further away a retail park (MacD, B&M etc etc) which you will see if coming from A127 past airport . Only downsides were the walk from pitch to toilet block was a bit of an eyesore (and smelly when it rained) and a smelly ditch when walking from grass pitches through to hardstanding pitches .
