A great CL on the outskirts of Southend. We stayed in the rally field overlooking the field with horses in - lovely, and with sunrise views. Large pitches and very relaxed about how you pitch. Never saw the owner so can’t comment, all communication by text and put payment through the letterbox. Showers and loos spotless and very modern, but a little walk from the rally field, but that was our choice. Easy to find the site, satnav took us straight there. Things to do in the local area, Southend pier is a must - longest pier in the world.
Fabulous site in a peaceful setting
Really lovely setting in Rochford, easy to find and with a very warm welcome. Lots of info given about the surrounding area, things to do, places to visit, public transport as well as all we needed to know about the site facilities.
Plenty of space to stretch out on the pitch and no hassle to leave too early the next day.
New toilets and showers were a pleasant surprise and good quality. The views across the land were lovely especially in the evening and it;s right next to a golf course (if you’re into that) Also worth noting that if you’re off to Garon Park for one of their many events, it’s an easy 15-20 min walk along the cinder path alongside the golf course.
Booking was simple and trouble free with Jenny by phone/text and payment either by cash through a letterbox or bank transfer.
Great welcome from Jenny’s brother on the day, entertaining us with his impromptu stand up comedy!
Post pandemic, you would even be able to book a horse ride!
We will definitely be returning and staying longer.
Thanks for the opportunity to stay on a great site. :)

What a lovely site, easy access and well spaced out
we was going to extend our stay here but due to lock down in 3 days time we heading off in the morning, booking was easy , owner friendly, access is easy even with the largest of set up, good large hard standings, its been very windy but plenty of shelter with trees all around, the road us was badly pot holed but they had a big digger in today and redone the whole road so nice to go out now, we hope to come back in the new year

Not Too Bad
Easy to find but be careful on approach site is after two sharp bends . Good wide entrance but lane down to site is hard-core and was full of holes on our arrival bot most of these were filled in during our stay . Pleasant tidy field to pitch in (grass field further in) hardstanding pitches at front part looked a little old and scruffy . Only 10 amp electric so be mindful when using your appliances (easy to reset if you trip , which we did ) .Toilet and shower in same room , but plenty of room and nice and clean , if a little tired looking , Gas shower so was hot and powerful jet , and hot and cold at sink as well . 2 more toilets round back if main one is occupied but these are shared with stable staff (all female ) so could be a little embarassing . On-site cafe open at weekends serving lovely All-Day breakfast and afternoon teas for which we were given discount vouchers for on arrival . Local shop and take-away by Ann Boleyn pub nearby and a little further away a retail park (MacD, B&M etc etc) which you will see if coming from A127 past airport .
Only downsides were the walk from pitch to toilet block was a bit of an eyesore (and smelly when it rained) and a smelly ditch when walking from grass pitches through to hardstanding pitches .
Lovely quite site
Loverly site plenty of wildlife there a cafe selling food in the equine centre 3 mins walk from the site pitches are very well spaced. The road to the site is a loose track but no problem if you take it gently. Easy access to Southend on Sea
March 2017
Long potholed unmade up drive. Very exposed in easterly wind the site when we visited was rundown and very long grass. Spoilt by long turm caravans on pitches, No toilet empting near the sites with a long walk round the back of a stable to find it. CL needs upgradingcould be nice when the grass is cut and the sun is out.
Not to be missed......
This ten day stay started with a warm welcome, which set the scene for a relaxing, friendly & peaceful break. Stunning views at this site with lots of rabbits, a friendly fox and nearby horses. The equestrian centre added to the ambience, beauty and simplicity of this great little site. Jenny, the owner took time to meet us personally, ensured we had everything we needed. Conveniently situated for the classic seaside town of Southend & surrounding area.
Simple yet immaculately clean toilet & shower is available on site.
We will definitely be returning for another stay Ged & Tracy
Weekend away.
Spent a weekend here (31/3-2/4/17) to test new caravan.Only van on CL part of site on arrival though 2 hardstandings available on approach to it.Lovely sized pitches enabling you to pitch in any direction with fields all around with rabbits and squirrels running around.Site contains stables and horse riding lessons plus a café with well priced drinks and beverages including a full English breakfast.
Very quiet site with an away from it all vibe-Highly recommended!
Probably the nicest CL in the area.
We stayed here for a few nights while visiting family locally and it is a very pleasant CL. Lots of space, surrounded by trees, and fields with horses in. And virtually no traffic noise. The toilet and washroom are very clean, and the pitches are spacious. We ate locally in Rochford at the Skewer House and Antica Roma both of which are worth a visit. A nice CL and one to which we will return when we are next in the Southend area.
