Exactly what a CL should be
We have just returned from a week at this site, which is near the Dorset/Devon border and offers a rural setting, but close enough to places of interest. On arrival we were met by the owner and could pitch where we liked on the grass field. There are two EHU points, with five sockets, so the only limiting factor is the length of you EHU lead. The field is mostly level and had recently been mowed. There is also a drinking water tap in the field and a waste disposal area. Recycling bins are near the gate. Therefore all the facilities a CL needs. Access is down an unmade track and through the owners business yard. He is a Welder/Fabricator, therefore there are items in the yard relating to his business (raw materials/finished items etc) and a Landrover waiting for some TLC. I wouldn't describe it as like a breakers yard, but someone working hard to make a living, The access through to the field is kept clear and i had no problem bringing my 7.4m caravan onto the site. Once into the site, banking helps screen the business from the site. Overall it is a very peaceful location. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and the sunsets viewed from the site make evenings more special. If you are happy to use your on board facilities i would recommend this site as a good place to explore West Dorset/East Devon from.
