April holiday

We can not see what other people see in this site. It was 3 days before we saw anyone but the dog, just the day before we were leaving. We found the toilet & shower was in the same room & was not very clean! The best thing about this site was the pub 250m down the road. The grass had been recently first cut & not picked up, constantly having to clean our M/H from the grass that was brought in.

A peaceful stay in Cornwall.

This was a lovely out of the way CL that was easy to find. The local pub was friendly and welcoming. Although it was not too far to walk for the bus it was narrow lanes to walk. facilities were basic but functional, what more do you need. Will definitely stay again!!

Lovely CL!

This site really was a gem, well situated for touring the Lizard and beyond and run by a very friendly lady. Although the weather was hideous whilst we were there, and there was some short-term water-logging on our pitch, the ground drained very quickly and caused no particular problems. The shower/toilet room was small but perfectly adequate and always clean. We fell in love with the Wheel Inn pub at the end of the lane and would have loved it to be our local. The steaks were to die for! Very simple meals provided but really well done and good prices. I do hate being stung for over-fancy, small portioned plates of food!! As the CL is open all year we'd be tempted back during the winter when we get some crisp, cold, winter days.

Excellent Site one of the best CL's we have been on

Surerb site with plenty of space between caravans one of the best we have been on. Well situated to explore the local area Trabah gardens, Lizzard and Porth Leven are all worth a visit. We all enjoyed the holiday and are all so relaxed even the dog is chilled out. If taking your dog just beware that alot of the beaches don't allow dogs on them but saying that we found lovely desserted beaches that dogs could go on. Arrival was easy and Jenny was very helpful. We enjoyed so much I am about to book for next year.

Lovely site

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at Skewes Farm CL. This is a lovely site in a pretty, sheltered field. We had a friendly and helpful welcome from Jenny, who also doggy sat our Springer in the purpose built kennel, while we had a day out at St Michael’s Mount. The site is well positioned for lots of interesting days out, beaches and coastal walks. Good mobile (O2) and 3G coverage, good TV reception. The single toilet/shower cubicle was functional but could benefit from an upgrade, in particular another separate toilet would be welcome as at times we had to wait for people to finish showering before being able to use the toilet. This is a minor niggle however and I would recommend this site for anyone wanting to visit the Lizard Peninsula.

Easy to find site with easy access and good welcome. The site is very well run grass kept short clean and tidy. Television reception good off standard aeriel. Owners helpful at all times. Good access to local places of interest including N.T. houses and gardens. Plenty of nice bays to visit within easy reach. If you want great fish and chips go to the pink chip shop at Portleven.

Lovely friendly owners.

Stayed for a fortnight, (Aug 12) we are a family with three kids and a dog. Owners welcoming and helpful and quite laid back. Looked after our dog one day for us and he enjoyed himself. Working dairy farm which the kids found interesting. Close to Culdrose air base so some occasional helicopter noise, again the kids found this interesting. Shower 40p and nice and hot. Will go back.
