Excellent stay

We stayed in our motorhome for three nights in early July, on the way home after a month on the road. First time I have booked and kept in touch by text - very easy and quick, could set a trend! The site has huge flat pitches, set well apart, with great views and lovely sunsets. And skylarks. Courtney came to welcome us and gave us loads of information about walks and the local area. We were lucky with the weather and did a super walk which took in Uffington, a path along the disused canal (now a nature reserve) and into Stamford. Lots to see and lots of cafes and eating places, easy to see why the town is popular with film makers. Walking from the CL to Stamford across fields takes about 40 minutes. On our second day we cycled to Burghley House and spent a couple of hours in their splendid gardens. The ticket is valid for a year so we might have to visit again. The last stop before going home from a long trip can be a bit of a downer, but not here - thank you. As per the previous review, there could be an additional charge for electricity if you use more than the allowance, but it was plenty for us.
