Ease of arrival/welcome

Peaceful sunsets and birdsong

We stayed over the Platinum Jubilee weekend. The site is small and well kept with nicely mown pitches (no clippings) and separated by low hedges (that still need to grow!). Very easy secure access from the road through a keypad barrier. Each pitch has fantastic views to the west to pick up the sunset. A motor mover or lots of pushing needed to get into the ideal pitching spot, but the pitches are pretty flat. Helen was very welcoming, popping in on our first morning to make sure everything was ok and working as expected. The site has a dedicated electric meter for each pitch in the information shed, with a reading needed on arrival and leaving, and any excess electricity paid for. 10kWh is included in the pitch fee per night, which was more than enough for us. However, it gave us the opportunity to charge our electric car on site if needed, a very welcome facility. The area is lovely, lots of walking or cycling available, with Stamford a very nice town. Rutland water is well within reach as are Melton Mowbray and Grantham. A great stay!
