Very friendly welcome
We have just returned from a four night stay on this site, and found it to tick all the boxes for us. In an elevated position there are lovely views from your pitch with recently upgraded electricity points, and the normal water and waste facilities. We found the location to be great, with Matlock, Chesterfield, Chatsworth all a matter of minutes away by car, as well as bakewell and the surrounding peak district within easy reach. The village nearest had several well rated pubs, the Swan in particular has to be the most dog Freindly pub I have ever seen. Overall a nice site, slight road noise, but I intend to return to see more of what the district has to offer.
The owner is very welcoming, a gift of freshly laid eggs, and keen to hear suggestions on how he can improve your experience at the cl.
