Excellent stay

Very lovely place. Large paddock sun trap, plenty of space all round. Lovely open vista across the nearby fields. Friendly welcome by Derek and nothing too much trouble. If you have a car and want to do some touring then the CL is located within minutes of great scenic runs across open countryside and picturesque villages. Even though this is little more than half an hour from where we live and we know the area well it just felt like we were exploring for the first time so this works out to be a great base.

Very much open CL!

Despite showing closed in the handbook, this CL is very much open! And what a lovely site! We only stayed for one night to visit our Daughter in Milton Keynes and found this a very nice and quiet site. We were welcomed by the owners who had seen us arrive and had a very friendly chat. Very nice, friendly couple who were very relaxed about arrival and departure times as the site was not full. My Wife & Daughter went shopping in MK and I stayed and enjoyed the sheer pleasure of the surrounding countryside - sheer bliss. The free range eggs available were really nice for breakfast. All in all, a great CL which we will not hesitate in staying again and I'd recommend. Also only a few miles from the M1 if you were looking for an overnight stay while going North. Sadly, we did not have time to explore Olney but it looks a charming Village which would be well worth a visit.

First Visit

We arrived at this lovely site, and were greeted by Derek and Rosemary, a very friendly family. We had booked for a week because we wanted to walk along the Grand Union Canal in Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire. So much to do in the area, Bletchley Park, Wrest Park and Milton Keynes was a big surprise, lots of parks and lakes. We extended our stay to a fortnight, because there are many things for us still to see and revisit. Fresh eggs for breakfast were a bonus. Look forward to returning

We return again!

Another of many visits to this lovely CL. It just gets better. New owners now with Alasdair, Derek, Rosemary and Hayley and already they have some great ideas and are really friendly. Cannot do enough for you. It was lovely to visit again over Easter and the fresh eggs you gave us were fantastic!!. See you again soon.

A long weekend

We had an enjoyable long weekend on this lovely site and were made very welcome by the owner Derek and his family. This is a well maintained, quiet site located in the countryside 1 mile from the Buckinghamshire town of Olney where there are all services available. The five grass pitches are well marked and are in a fenced paddock overlooking rolling countryside. Water is available on both sides of the paddock with the chemical disposal and rubbish recycling point located conveniently just at the entrance to the paddock.

Red kites and green woodpeckers

Just returned from a weekend at this CL which we used to visit family in the area. We loved the level grass field that was very well maintained. It was perfect for our 6 metre PVC. The bonus was seeing red kites and in the early morning, a green woodpecker foraging for ants in the short grass. The site itself was very quiet, only two caravans whilst we were there and it was an easy run into Olney where there are a range of local shops and good pubs. Also a farmers market on Sunday morning. This will be our regular stop for family visits.

Cool

First visit to this site over the May Bank holiday. We were surprised to be the only people on this well maintained, clean and tidy site. The site is well hidden and cannot be seen from the road.  The site is very quiet with only the sound from the birds, sheep and lambs and over looking fields. Great value for money at £10 per night with hook up.  We will certainly be returning in the future for another relaxing weekend.

A lovely Easter weekend

We have just come back from a lovely 4 nights on this CL. An absolutely lovely peaceful CL with electric with very little noise and well away from the road. We had sheep and lambs in the field behind us that was great entertainment to watch the lambs playing in the evening. A very well kept nicely cut field that was a pleasure to stay on. We shall certainly be back.

Nice quiet well maintained CL

Enjoyed 2 nights here August 2014. Easy to book, nice welcome, good access for towed outfits. Open, level pitching field with hook-ups. Water, drainage, emptying etc all of a good standard. Entrance is quite easy to miss, so drive slowly once leaving Olney village. Lovely views over open fields. A balloon festival was taking place during our second evening, which was great to see and helped to create good memories of our stay! We would definitely return if visiting or passing through the area again.
