We spent the weekend here , trying out our caravan for the first time so wanted to keep local to home.
Communication was great, The owner kindly messaged before arrival to say about roadworks that may affect us, but luckily didnt.
Everyone on the farm was friendly and welcoming and would talk and wave to my children.
We loved waking up to the horses in the morning.
Beautiful peaceful relaxing.
The owner came and said hello and let us see the alpacas and hens which my children loved !
Beautiful place just wish we could keep it a secret as we definitely will be returning.
Thankyou so much.
Away at last
We had another enjoyable long weekend on this lovely site and were once again made very welcome by the owner Derek and his family. This is a well maintained, quiet site located in the countryside 1 mile from the interesting town of Olney where there are all services available. The River Great Ouse flows on the outskirts of the town next to which is the Emberton Country Park, a popular area for picnicking, fishing and walking.
The five grass pitches are well marked and are in a fenced paddock overlooking rolling countryside. Water is available on both sides of the paddock making it easy to refill motorhome tanks with a hose. The chemical disposal and rubbish recycling point located conveniently just at the entrance to the paddock and again a motorhome waste tank could easily be emptied here using a hose. Stagecoach’s number 41 bus route, Bedford to Northampton via Olney, runs hourly past the site but there is no nearby dedicated bus stop and it was not established, if as a country bus, whether this could be flagged down. Good easy walking is available a short distance away via the side road leading to the Olney Park Farm Estate. This takes you into rolling arable farmland with fine views and woodland. If you are lucky and quiet you may, as I did see deer in the woodland.
What a gem
Just back from a week staying at Smiths Farm, what a gem of a site. It's easy to find not too far from the A509. The site is immaculate and Derek the owner made us feel really welcome. The site is quite exposed and so can be a bit windy with good views over the surrounding fields.
All grass pitches, no groundsheets, mostly level and no dogs allowed. You can hear some traffic noise but it really wasn't a problem and only in the distance. A short drive will take you into Milton Keynes in one direction and Wellingborough the other, also Bedford, Northampton not far about a 25 min drive.
Plenty to see and do in surrounding area with the beautiful market town of Olney about a mile walk (down a country road though and wouldn't recommend with children) just a 5 min drive away with plenty of parking at various places in the town. Also has the lovely Cowper and Newton Museum in the town centre and Market on a Thursday.
This was our first experience of a CL and would definitely use again.
Peaceful place
Just spent a few days here at this lovely site. Very secure and a level area to pitch with a very warm welcome. There are some lovely views with the horses and alpacas in the adjoining fields. The site has good access to the pretty town of Olney with its varied shops. It’s near to our relatives so we will be using this site again.
Smiths Farm :
Had a wonderful weekend, great site near Olney. Gated field very quiet, easy to find. Horses on the farm. Fresh eggs organic vegetables. Very friendly owner with heaps of information about the area. Will definitely visit again.

Lovely bank holiday break
Stayed here over the bank holiday weekend as close to relatives living in Milton Keynes. Owners very warm, friendly and helpful. Site is very secure, peaceful and surrounded by lovely open countryside. Easy walk into Olney, an interesting and picturesque town with and abundance of good quality places to eat and drink. Would definitely go back to do more walking and exploring around Olney.
one nighter
What a lovely spot. Took our 2 grandchildren for their first stay in our "new to us" motorhome.
In a super safe spot with horses grazing in the next field, they spotted a red kite and lots of butterflies. This is a really peaceful site with an exceptionally friendly and easy going owner. (Many thanks Derek) We wanted to leave the motorhome on site (after time) for a couple of hours whilst we went into the local town "That's fine, no problem" he said.
A real pleasure to visit!
Beautiful and very welcoming
We stayed here for bank holiday weekend with our 8 year old, it’s an ideal area to take part in a bike ride, and is local to the quaint village of Olney. The owners are very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The views are beautiful with open countryside. Will definitely call again.
Really recommend the fee range eggs...delicious.

What a find. Only 15 miles from home for us but just what we needed. Peace and quiet and lovely views. Perfect for a break. The town of Olney nearby for all your needs. Very warm welcome from Derek.
We will make this one a regular for our short breaks.
