What a gem

Just back from a week staying at Smiths Farm, what a gem of a site. It's easy to find not too far from the A509. The site is immaculate and Derek the owner made us feel really welcome. The site is quite exposed and so can be a bit windy with good views over the surrounding fields. All grass pitches, no groundsheets, mostly level and no dogs allowed. You can hear some traffic noise but it really wasn't a problem and only in the distance. A short drive will take you into Milton Keynes in one direction and Wellingborough the other, also Bedford, Northampton not far about a 25 min drive. Plenty to see and do in surrounding area with the beautiful market town of Olney about a mile walk (down a country road though and wouldn't recommend with children) just a 5 min drive away with plenty of parking at various places in the town. Also has the lovely Cowper and Newton Museum in the town centre and Market on a Thursday. This was our first experience of a CL and would definitely use again.
