This site sets the benchmark. It is simply fabulous! It would be easy to bestow this CL with superlatives and compliments, every one being well deserved.
We booked in for a stay over the Christmas and Hogmanay period and got back home feeling relaxed and replenished. The site is peaceful, surrounded by lovely countryside and near to many little coastal towns, villages and the spectacular, "Dark Skies" Galloway Forest with all its' cycle and walking trails. A bus route passes the entrance (where there's also an Italian restaurant).
The facilities are IMMACULATE and modern, with 2 showers, 2 wc's and a seperate washing up area. Best of all - no push buttons in the showers! It's adults only with a practical and easy-to-use CDP and grey water waste, along with free green toilet fluid. The pitches are all equipped with water and 16A EHU, are hardstanding, with a grassed area.
Special mention to the owners, Sue & Les. Not only are they welcoming and friendly, they helped us out, as we'd left our caravan step at home. After failing to purchase one en route (It was Hogmanay and everywhere closed!) a call to Sue, for a recommendation, she assured us not to worry, as they would "sort out something on our arrival" We were expecting a couple of building blocks or the like, but an hour after the phone call, we arrived on site to find Les has made us a 2 tier step complete with carpet treads! Amazing and once again, a very big thank you!
