A perfect CL!

The previous review is spot-on: this is just what we have been looking for! Perfect location for accessing Dartmoor on foot; beautifully landscaped and maintained site; very friendly, kind and helpful owner. Couldn't be better!

The best CL on dartmoor

i have been visiting Dartmoor for nearly 30 years and after visiting all the Cls around Dartmoor this is this in my opinion the best. access is easy, and tiered hard standing or grass pitches with various water points. well maintained with a stream running through the middle. great for dog owners with direct access to the moors down the owners private lane.also pubs with in a mile. pretty site with a very helpful owner, a real gem of a site. just save room for me!

Outstanding CL

This is an exceptional CL. The owner is very welcoming and full of helpful information about the local area. We spent 3 days walking and cycling in beautiful countryside which can be accessed straight from the site. 3 days wasn't long enough and we will be staying longer next time.

A pleasant stay

A very good CL in an ideal position for walking on the moors. The site is attractive with good hard standing and is confidently recommended.

Recent weekend stay

What a jewel. The site is clean, well laid out with a choice of hardstanding or grass pitches which are all well drained. Plenty of water points and easy access to electric points.. The owners were very welcoming and walks from the site are easy and Dartmoor can be accessed within 10 minutes on foot. The resident ducks and chickens will want to make friends and if you are lucky enough to get some evening sunshine; there is nothing more relaxing than sitting by the stream which runs through the site with a glass of wine and watching the sun go down. There are two good pubs in the village and check out the local bakery. Never tasted bread or cakes like it!! We will definitely be staying there again.

A taste of Eden.

My wife & I stayed at this CL for 10 nights this year having previously enjoyed a holiday here two years ago. It is one of the most attractive CLs that we have stayed on, although the site is sloping each pitch has been levelled and they are well spaced apart. There is a small stream running through the site and it has been made very attractive with little waterfalls and plants. You will discover a resident duck with its own miniature caravan to sleep in. A public footpath runs behind the site, also a farm track will lead you on to Dartmoor. A superb base for many good walks in stunning countryside.
