Fantastic site and great hosts!

The site is easy for access with well-spaced pitches, very well-maintained. The hosts were wonderful, so accommodating, nothing was too much trouble and they were really kind and helpful. Will definitely be staying with them again, just hope that it will remain the secret gem that it is and I will still be able to book in!! Thanks so much Roz and Nick!

Lovely CL site

We visited this site about a month ago now. What can I say, it was one of the nicest Cl sites we have stayed. Easy access on to site from main road. The site is exceptionally clean and tidy and the owners are very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely return to stay at this site.

A Haven for All

Once again, a delightful couple of brief stays at Southfield, where Roz and Nick have done great things in the short time they have been there. Quite apart from the delightful and spacious site, with its thoughtful touches like the floral displays as you enter, the excellent area for brief dog-exercising and facilities for 'natural fall-out', this time the extra provision of sanitisers everywhere was particularly pertinent and appreciated. They both put themselves out for their guests with an extremely warm welcome, with tea and biscuits on offer as one settles in, making a genuinely warm and friendly atmosphere throughout one's stay. On each visit it seems improvements are being made and there is no doubt about it, this is one of our favourite CL's. More power to your collective elbow, both of you, You are doing a great job and deserve to go from strength to strength.

Special

What a lovely CL this is. A great welcome by Roz and Nick with an offer of a hot drink, shortbread biscuits and 6 fresh eggs from their own hens. Site was nice and level with lovely views and the Elsan and water point easy to use and clean. The site was easy to find and lots to do in the area though our day in Glastonbury was blighted with torrential rain. The New Mill on the way to Taunton and next door to Aldi does really tasty meals and we also went to the Merry Monk which was good. Roz and Nick came to our rescue when we were due to go home on the Monday. With blustery winds and driving rain it was not a day for towing but the site was fully booked. However, Nick said if we could move over to the orchard we could stay another night so he fixed up the electric in the hen house and we stayed safe. Thank you once again Nick and Roz for being so accommodating and saving 2 old people the trauma of going home in such bad weather. We can highly recommend this beautiful site with such lovely owners and we will definitely stay here again if we come back to this area. Thank you again x

Glorious CL

Have just spent a superb eight days at Southfield, hosts Ros & Nick could not have been more accommodating. From the moment of arriving to our departure they were fantastic hosts. Most comments have already been mentioned, just to say an easy site to access from the main road, no narrow roads to worry about, level pitches and good views. Yes there is a little road noise and by the time you hear the train it has been & gone. I just hope when we next book there will be room for us. Great site great people, thanks Ros & Nick

superb cl

Staying on this lovely quiet cl at the moment - Nick and Roz can't do enough for you - they even provided a welcoming cup of tea or coffee --- flat pitches = very well kept. Easy to find and access is no problem at all. Would recommend it to anyone ---- we will definitely be back

An excellent site

Thank you Ros and Nick. We stayed here for 1 night on our way north from the Plymouth ferry and received a very warm welcome. We were provided with a map to a local pub and given directions and recommendations to others. The site is very well kept and the pitches are flat. The facilities are clearly marked and very clean. We will definitely stay here again when visiting family and friends in the area.

Fabulous site, will go again.

This is truly a gem of a site. Roz and Nick are superb hosts, second to none. This site is just about perfect, with flat pitches and surrounded by hedgerows full of Autumn fruit. Arrival is easy through good sized gates. Locally there is so much to do, a drive up to Cheddar Gorge through Glastonbury and Wells is a lovely day out. The cider farm also has a large barn full of nick nacks at extremely reasonable prices. The cider is great too. We will be back (with more gin) as soon as we can make it. In summary, go to this site, it is beautiful, one of the best we have visited.

A great little site

Apologies to Nick and Roz, we visited in mid July and I fully intended to write a review when we got home, but things got in the way, until this evening. Every now and again we come across sites that remind us why we like caravanning so much, this is one of those sites. Nick and Roz gave us a lovely warm welcome, make sure we were happy with our pitch and explaining where everything was located. Not only that but a welcoming cup of tea was gratefully received. The site is a superb. It is a really good size, allowing caravans/motorhomes to be well spaced, the pitches are even and grass is cut beautifully. There is a railway across the bottom of the site, but it is in a cutting and we hardly noticed it. This is a really easy site to find and is a great location for discovering the local area. It is a long way from our home, but next time we head that way Southfield will be on our must visit list.
