This is a truly lovely CL, and for us, represents just what we like about being Caravan Club members. A lovely location, tucked away on the edge of woodlands, with a historic mill on your doorstep, wonderful canal side walking and lots of industrial heritage close by, as well as interesting towns and villages. From enquiring to booking, arriving to leaving, we felt so welcome and valued as visitors. There is no fuss, just a note telling you which pitch to use, and any other details you need. The pitches are lovely, landscaped with mature shrubs and small ornamental trees, giving colour and interest and attracting lots of bird visitors. We loved the individual pitches, and had no problems siting our MH. Service points are close by, EHU is 16amp, so very generous, loo waste has a purpose built disposal point, and there is onsite recycling. Everyone gets a free TV booster, as signal is poor without, but these are steep Derbyshire Valleys!  This is a great site for dogs as well, straight out into Woodlands Trust Bow Wood, full of wild flowers and lots of paths to explore. There is a small dog walk field adjacent for quick walkies!  There is a lot to see in the area, we walked the restored Cromford Canal, Richard Arkwrights Mills are close by, as well as Matlock and Matlock Bath with all their wonderful history, walks and attractions. The cafe at the Cromford end of the canal is a nice place for refreshments, and you can get about well on local transport. Definitely a CL to use again and again, one of the best, thank you Mr and Mrs Hitchcock!
