Lovely Long Weekend

Lovely CL with friendly owner who meets you on arrival and also seeing you off,the kids loved watching the lambs in the adjacent fields. The Site entrance is on the brow of a hill so you get a glimpse of the CL sign a bit late, the Tarmac sign is directly opposite the entrance so this is a good marker for anyone arriving for the first time. We will return in the future.

What a find!

This lovely CL is probably one of the best sites we have ever been to! As soon as you drive in, you know that it is "quality". A very warm welcome from Pam and a display of sheepdog handling by 4 year old Jack. Lots of very useful tourist information and more importantly the loan of a couple of very good walking guides. This area in The Borders is one of our favourite destinations and we are so pleased to have found this Gem. I'm sure that we will be back next year.

Springlee Melrose

What a gem of a site. We stayed during a deluge but the grass stood up to it very well and drained well. The site itself is sloping with 2 hardstanding pitches. Pam and Jack, her son, soon made us very welcome. This site is ideal for anyone wishing to explore the Borders as Berwick, Kelso, Galashields and Hawick, not to mention Melrose itself are all within easy driving distance. We fully intend to factor this site into our trips to Scotland in future even if it is just a little bit off the direct Motorway Route North, but the drive through the borders coupled with this charming site have convinced us to spend a couple of days there again.

A great site, loads to do and see in close proximity. Met by helpful owner who provided us with tourist information booklet. Site very well kept with great views, could have stayed much longer that the 6 days we were there as we didn't see a fraction of the things in the area.

Charming Site

Owners very welcoming and helpful, giving us a local map and good advice on amenities and places to go. Very clean site with good views of rolling countryside and the border hills. Very well maintained with walks and cycle rides direct from the site. We originally intended staying a couple of nights as part of a tour and ended up staying a week: a super spot!

We were greeted on arrival and told to park on any pitch any way round to suit our selves. the views around the site are fantastic. It is a sloping site and leveling blocks are required, quite a few are supplied on site. mostly grass pitches with one hard standing suitable for camper vans. I would definately use this site again. We stayed on the site in August 2012 during an enormous storm that flooded Jedburgh, The site was not affected by the rain and remained solid.
