Remember the fishing.
The lovely Pamela forgets to say the 100s of miles of some of the best wild brown trout fishing anywhere. For big rivers try the Tweed and Teviot. For small waters and burns there's the Ettrick, Lyne, Ale Kale, Bowmount, Leader and others all within half an hour. Grayling as well on most of them. Great salmon fishing and cheaper than you think. A brown trout fisher's heaven where a typical season ticket costs less than a day at an artificial fishery.
And Pamela will even supply kids to play with yours!
