Wonderful CL

This is a charming CL that is kept clean & tidy. We have used this a couple of times for overnight stays, but we can see that it would also be a pleasure to stay for longer as it is so peaceful. Everything is well laid out and the owners are very obliging (giving us prior notice when a road was closed, due to a local event). Looking forward to returning

Delightful CL

We stayed here for a week last month. This was our third visit and it certainly won't be our last. It is a well appointed CL with excellent marked and separated pitches. The owners are friendly and helpful. WWT Martin Mere is just a few miles away and Southport and Liverpool are easily accessed.

Great last minute stay

Booked enroute within an hour. William sorted us out with the last pitch and greeted us on arrival. A beautiful site which was a perfect overnight stop on our journey to the Lake District. Dog friendly site which is well thought out and you are given a key to access the main gate. Would stay here again.

A little piece of heaven

What more could you ask for? Peace, Tranquillity & Sunshine. This is what we had in the 2 nights we stayed here. Originally booked this site for it's distance from Bolton & the price, (15 miles & £12). The ease of arrival, as said in other reviews, was very good, there is a large grass area at the top which our dog really liked for rolling on. There is a farm shop just up the road with probably the best fruit & veg around at very reasonable prices. All in all a great site & we will be back again

Excellent stopover

Used this CL on our journey back from the South West to Scotland. Will definitely use the site again. Easy access from M6, fuss free check in and good pitches and facilities. Pleasant rural area, with good access to Southport, Liverpool, etc. Excellent far shop nearby for quality provisions. Adjacent nursery adds to interest.

Fantastic CL site

Immaculately kept, peaceful site with very friendly and helpful owners. Easy to find with easy access. Welcome pack on arrival with information on local amenities, walks and places of interest. A bonus is the nursery attached to the site as well for your garden plants. Highly recommended and have already booked for our return visit.

A Great Site

Brilliant site, friendly owners immaculately kept, lots of interesting unusual plants at the nursery. I stay there every year when I'm trading at the Model Boat Convention at Haydock Park.

A Lancashire Gem

This is a gem of a site. Situated in rural Lancashire mid way between Wigan and Southport. So peaceful , we love it. Many Good  eating ( and drinking)pubs and restaurants within 5 miles. Good access. Good security , friendly owners. TV reception perfect , un obstructive satellite reception. Mobile phone reception  good. Highly recommended

Wish we could have stayed longer

Stopped of for three nights on our way to the lake district. The site was very easy to find after leaving the M6 on good roads and lanes. All hard standing with hedges for privacy between each pitch. A warm welcome when we arrived, we were given a key for the gate that is kept locked and a welcome pack of local information. Sadly many of the leaflets were out of date but did give ideas of what to do. Beautiful little site we hope to return soon.

Stoney Leach

A very quiet, well kept site with hardstandings at the side of a small nursery. The owners are very helpful and provide an information pack on arrival with details of local walks etc. There are shops and pubs not far away and supermarkets in Skelmersdale.
