Peaceful, popular with anglers, good for a 1 night stopover travelling on the A1.

This CL has pitches about 50 yds from a fishing lake on a nice even grass field. The lakes (there are four) appear to be very popular with anglers and when we were there their vans used 3 of the 5 pitches. We stayed there one night on our way up the A1, for which it is very handy. There are several good eating pubs and a village shop within 2 or 3 miles. The site itself is up a lane and very peaceful. Good for dogs (several walks nearby) but not for young children. Water and waste disposal are provided. The only downside for us (and hence why only 4*) is the single toilet, which is shared with all the anglers. Although relatively clean, the hut it's in has several places where you can 'look in' from outside, hence my (squeamish, you might say) wife refused to use it.
