Charming and very unusual site

Just returned from 7 night stay at Sutton Hall Gardens. Beautiful setting in large old walled garden which was the kitchen garden for Sutton Hall, now derelict across the road. (Worth a visit) Very secure gated site with passcode. Greeted on arrival by Mrs Harrison, who showed us around. Lawned area was very well-maintained and level, overlooking lovely shrubs and flower-beds, diligently tended daily by the owner. Although the site is adult-only and no dogs, some of the neighbouring properties over the wall have dogs which seem to bark persistently, which for us rather spoilt the tranquillity of the site. This is obviously not Mrs Harrison's fault, and it is a shame as she is rightly proud of her CL.
