Very Nice

Lovely CL in a great location for visiting the local area. I was probably nit picking slightly by not giving 5 stars but I like to be as thorough as possible in my reviews - only down side was that the toilet was not exclusive use for the CL as there is a rally field and on one day there was no toilet roll but as I said only minor things. I think the main point of a review is to state whether the writer would return and I certainly will and I look forward to it... 4 stars is plenty for me and my family.

Just to remark on one of the previous reviews that there is only 5 pitches for CC members just as it should be. 2 areas that look like pitches were parking areas.

Even More Than All You Want From A CL

Easy to find, easy to pitch and ideally located for things to do in the area. It is all good.

Lovely, well maintained and peaceful

This is a small but well maintained site. Pitches set in a semi-circle, which is quite tight to manoeuvre a big caravan, and a little too close together, particularly with an awning on. The setting is lovely, with plenty of fields and a much appreciated marked dog walk which is very well looked after and clearly regularly mown. Really enjoyed my stay there, the main down side was the horrendous heavy rain, which clearly isn't the owners fault, but unfortunately my pitch flooded resulting a very muddy awning and hitching up the caravan in a huge, deep puddle. Wouldn't put me off returning though.

March2016

Whilst I agree with a lot that has been said in earlier reviews I am concerned that the site has 7 pitches and noticed on the notice board that during part of Easter this year there will be 6 pitches in use !! It also states in the site details that the site is of 1 acre, this may be correct but all the pitches are set out in a half circle covering the flat part of the field which is no greater than 1/3 of an acre in size. If you want to erect an awning you would be hard pressed to do so on some pitches without interfering with other pitches. I also find it strange that you never see the owners at all even though they live on site! On the plus side the showers and toilets are very good as is the extra information displayed in the shower room. The site is also central to all the National Trust properties in the area as well as numerous other places of interest. Despite my comments we will certainly use the site again when next visitig Cheshire.

Great little site

We stayed here at short notice arriving late evening in November.  Given it was dark when we arrived we missed the turning into the site but there is a board at the kerb side which should easily be seen in the day. Shower and toilets were immaculate and the the pitches were all hard standing and level. Lovely, peaceful little site.

Fantastic

Wow What a lovely site. Easy to find. Once you get to the site do as the notice says and read the board before you set up. This tells you which pitch you are on and they are all clearly marked up. All pitches are concrete hardstanding and level. There is plenty of room to walk your dogs on site without needing to go near the road. The washroom has 2 showers and 2 toilets and also a washing machine. The owner leaves you to it but is always about if you need help. In the washroom is a honesty box in which you leave your payment. We will be back again for sure.

Wow just wow

I can't believe this place...what a find. From the off the owners were super accomodating i asked for a late departure ( i was competing in wilmslow triathlon) no problem. I struggled find the site on google (there is another sycamore farm several miles away) no problem replied with a clear map of exactly where the site is. Arrived clear instruction of how to pay, where to pitch and factilites availble. Never actually met the owners all money put in an envelope provided and left in an honesty safe...like life should be.  toilets and showers super clean and extremely well maintained. Site quite even with a massive rally on the fields at the far end of the farm, several kids play areas and a treat (which i will keep as a surprise) if you go for a wonder. No traffic noise and the odd hum of a plane but thats no biggy after all you are only a few miles from the airport.... We will be back thanks for the stay and your super level pitches and highly maintained site you are a credit to the CL part of the caravan club....

Convenient site?

Stayed here after reading a review about the convenience of the site for local pubs and walks on country lanes. Would just like to point out that if staying with a motorhome and wanting to walk to the nearby villages and pubs, the road is very busy and has no pavements in some places. Alderley Edge village is a brisk 40 minute walk each way. We walked to the Stags Head on Sunday early evening for a meal to find the kitchen closed at 7pm. Unfortunately the free wi-fi only worked for 10mins when we first arrived for a 3 night stay. We found it to be a quiet site, good if you have the use of a car but we were disappointed that there was no bus route nearby.
