Shared facilities with rally field

A perfectly adequate CL. However, my main concern is that the 2 showers and 2 toilets were also used by campers on the rally field and I was unaware of this when booking.

Good Little Site

Stayed here for a few nights and found it to be very relaxing. Would recommend and I'm sure we'll visit again.

Great site

We concur with previous comments.  The site has a lovely warm feel to it and is very well organised. We love the site and area so much we are already booked up for August and October.  Just wondering whether we can manage a stay in September!

Small but perfectly formed.

A good, well organized CL with welcoming and helpful owners. The site has five numbered concrete hard standings situated around a central gravel area. An ideal all year round site, no chance of getting bogged down. Please ignore the Wet Wet Wet comments as they now don't apply. Two good showers, hand basins and toilets, a washer and drier in adjacent building. Entrance easily identified by wide white band on a tree beside main road. Excellent Fish and Chips in Alderley Edge with Gluten Free Sundays. Close to half a dozen NT properties, Tatton Park, and good walking on Alderley Edge. Walks can start from CL. Good pubs down nearby lanes. Good train connection from Alderley Edge into Manchester. Trees and fields on three sides, songbirds and rabbits all day. Strong free Wi-Fi connection. Owner has small collection of old vehicles. Rally field on other side of farm. As they say: 'Small but perfectly formed.'

I agree!

We had a very enjoyable stay here a couple of weeks ago. I was going to write much of what ianandrowena have said so I'll second their comments and add my appreciation of the free wifi

excellent CL

Site was well organised with pitch details on notice board. New concrete hard standings are excellent with good clean toilets and showers. Rabbits out of one window and new born Lambs the other perfect!!. Good access to excellent walking and countryside. Generally a good no fuss easy access site. All in all an excellent CL. Will be going again.

Wet Wet Wet

Arrived on site on Friday afternoon, as previous reviewer has said there are 7pitches to choose from. Unfortunately we had little choice, 2 were occupied 3 were not fit to use as they were waterlogged and sloping, one was small and we wouldn't have been able to use a porch awning so we used the one available to us. Luckily the owner provided duck boards and we were able to surround our caravan with these. We were disappointed to find that the price per evening was £14 and not £12 as listed on the caravan club web site. On the plus side the owner is very helpful, if you email her with any problem. Don't be put off as we imagine this would be lovely in the summer. The only reason we went when we did, is because we thought the pitches were hard standing, when in fact they're only 2 rows of paving flags for the caravan wheels.

One to return to...

We had a wonderful stay at this CL. We picked it due to it being close to home and we wanted to try out our new awning but we will certainly become regulars! We found the 'hands off' approach to be really efficient, we pitched up as directed on the notice board, posted payment into the honesty box and got on with enjoying the beautiful setting. There were only two other caravans there on this particular weekend and so it felt very spacious and peaceful and we had lovely views to three sides of the caravan. The facilities are very good and there is a small play area for children. There is also a dog walk on site and our children were very excited to find giant swings to play on! There is so much to do in the area and Alderley Edge village is a few minuets away by car. This CL offered much more than we were expecting and was excellent value for money; would definitely recommend and will definitely return.

Disappointing

Although the site states they have 1 acre available for caravans, it is very cramped as half the site is on quite a steep slope. There are 7 pitches and there were 6 caravans there when we stayed. There is a notice on the board telling you where to pitch; otherwise there was no contact from the owners. We did have a need to contact them when the electricity went off at the mains - we had to do this by phoning them. The location of the site was convenient to get to where we wanted to be but would think twice about staying there again.
