Arrive at this wonderful CL and take a moment to absorb the stunning views. It's a wonderful site, which we first discovered a year ago and have visited a number of times since. There's plenty to do in the area - Bakewell, Chatsworth, Haddon Hall, Matlock to name but a few or you can just sit on site and drink in the landscape in front of you. Pitches are on 2 levels, fully serviced with water and grey waste and the toilet disposal (green only) has a perfectly positioned rinsing tap with decent pressure and no silly piece of hose pipe that club sites insist on. With the exception of maybe a distant tractor by day, or the odd owl at night you can hear a pin drop and really feel that you've escaped day to day hassles. Arrival for us was straight forward from the M1 via Chesterfield and there was Sainsbury's (Matlock) and Aldi (Bakewell) where we were able to easily park the motorhome to pick up groceries. The owners are on hand to help if required and booking\amending bookings etc is straightforward. As our pitch wasn't booked the following night, Joolz accommodated us staying late (until 6pm if you wish) for an extra £10. This stretched out weekend that bit further! Phone coverage is good with fast 4g, but put that phone down and stare through the van windows instead!
