We stayed here as a stopover en-route to North Wales so didn't really get the true feel of the place, but we received a friendly welcome and enjoyed our brief visit. The grassy site is sloping, and not the biggest field, and I did notice all the hook-up plugs were in the same location, so crowding might be a problem when busy. There is a hard-standing pitch available and we were offered it, but for one night only we were happy on the grass. And crowding not an issue in the middle of December! The site is secure with automatic gates, and extremely secluded and peaceful.
