Lovely location

Ideally based just off the main A68. Fantastic views of the Scottish Borders countryside and brilliant for exploring the border towns of Jedburgh, Melrose, Kelso. We will certainly be making a return visit in the future

Lovely CL In the Scottish Borders

We stayed here for 9 nights Easter 2013. It is located on a working farm a couple of miles south of Jedburgh. The views across to the Cheviot Hills are magnificent, especially as they were covered in snow when we were there. Matt and Lucy are very welcoming and provide a lot of information on the area. Matt took us for a walking tour of the organic farm which was fascinating. Additionally there are a number of walks signposted around the farm as well as a Hide where you can watch deer and badgers at dusk or early morning. There are two hardstanding pitches and three grass. The hardstanding is only a little wider than the caravan but we had no problem putting the awning on the adjacent grass. All pitches have electric hookup and the site has WiFi included in the price. There are lots of walks in the area.. There is a book on walks in the Jedburgh area for £2 at the Tourist Office in Jedburgh. Edinburgh is within easy reach (75 mins) straight up the A68 and Holy Island is also easily accessible. We ate at the Clock Tower Restaurant in Jedburgh one night and it was excellent. There is lots to do in the area and the site should be considered as a place to stay for a number of nights, not just a stopover.
