A very peaceful site

We stayed for 7 nights and thoroughly enjoyed this site set in a stunning location, with easy access to the local area. It’s a clean and well maintained site with all the facilities close at hand, some levelling blocks are required on two of the pitches, there are some blocks available in the bin compound. The tourist information office in Jedburgh has a good range of free leaflets detailing local cycle and walking routes, which compliment the extensive information provided by Matt and Lucy prior to our arrival.

Peaceful site

We stayed here for one night in early May '22. Easy to find, quiet with plenty of room. Nice views. Unfortunately unable to do farm walks as lambing in progress. Close to Jedburgh which is a pleasant place to look around.

Easy to find - peaceful CL in nice surroundings

5 hard-standing pitches in their own field, all with electric hook-up, well spaced apart. Waste emptying in the bottom corner, elsewhere bins for rubbish and recycling. Drinking water tap supplied with interchangeable short and long hoses; long hose reaches to the gravelled track, so that motorhomes don't need to drive on the grass to fill up. Very well organised - we arrived to see our name on the noticeboard advising which pitch was allocated to us. Clean and well maintained, with lovely views over the Jed Water valley.

Lovely CL.

We have stayed three times now at this lovely site. A nice quiet spot which is just what we like. Very clean, tidy and well kept. Owners are very friendly and welcoming. Some lovely walks with stunning views of the Cheviots and surrounding hills. Pitches are well spaced and all hardstanding. Water and CTD are close at hand. A really lovely tranquil place. Thank you.

Gem of a site and undiscovered area

We visited Bairnkine Farm in June as part of an extended 8 week holiday and stayed for 6 nights. It’s an area we haven’t visited before and we were pleasantly surprised. The CL is very peaceful and tranquil with the occasional sheep noise. There are all the usual facilities such as water, waste and chemical disposal points, all very clean. There is a well organised rubbish and recycling area, a very informative notice board. We were allocated pitch 3 which was large and very level. In all our dealings with the owners they were very friendly and chatty but not to an intrusive level. We found lots to do in the area, plenty of history in nearby Jedburgh, free parking and a fab chocolate shop. There is lots of walking and hiking available for all levels of fitness, there are even some lovely walks from the site. We will definitely visit again. Oh and the views from the site are great too.

lovely views

W.e only had one night at this quiet clean site. It has lovely views and we did one of the walks which was marked. Our only complaint was the caravans where very close together and to get some privacy we put our blinds down. This was the only fault we found with an otherwise good site.

Really nice CL

Really nice CL. We stayed on this CL for a 1 night Stopover on route south. prepaid for contactless arrival. A notice at the gate has your name and pitch no. very large hardstanding pitch, with excellent views of the surrounding hills. Very clean wc disposal. Great dog walks directly from the site with maps on a notice board and waymarked trails. We would certainly return.

Lovely site

Stayed here for two nights in June and found it absolutely perfect. The site is immaculately kept with lots of info for various dog walks from the farm and the general area. Owners got in touch just before our arrival to ask us if we needed anything which was lovely. Lovely views and very peaceful. Thank you.

Great CL Site

We used this site for a two day stop over as it was close to where I was going to shoot wildlife birds in a hide, with my camera of course, communications couldn’t have been better all was done by phone and email, we knew the pitch we was on before we arrived, the pitch we was on was very sloping and you do need the larger ramps to get close to level, but we was told that we could just park the unit just at the bottom of the pitch if we struggled, views are terrific and it is very peaceful, and the walks around the farm are very good, and the owners where helpful in every way, we will definitely use the site again Alan and Diane

Good CL

Very impressed with easy online book and pay. Location very convenient for our journey, easy access to main road, but quiet and peaceful despite flock of sheep in adjacent field. Map of walks emailed to us before our arrival. Would stay again on our stop over journey to visit family.
