Excellent stay at a reasonably priced CL in North Devon

We had a pleasant stay at this new to us CL set about 3 miles south of Bideford in North Devon. When approaching from the north from the A386 turn left just after the sign for Weare Giffard. Drop down to a very sharp left turn under the Park Trail (old railway bridge). Take care here (use of a car horn might be advisable). Continue over a humped back bridge and through the start of a long village. there are passing places. At the top of a hill the farm can be seen on the right and the turn in easy to see. There are 2 parts to this caravan area. One is a CL, the other (The Paddock) isn't. They are separated by a wooden fence. The hardstanding pitches are just for the unit and can slope slightly depending which pitch you end up on. Not a great bother though. Car goes on the grass, where a picnic table is provided for your own use. EHU is shared. Water points are found around the CL. There is also a wooden shed where the toilet is found (not used by us) and the Elsan point, knee high and adequate. There is also an information board. Bus time tables are best checked but we noticed them passing about once every 2 hours and many stayers used them. Recycling is encouraged. talking of cycling the Tarka trail is accessed from where you left the A386 and is traffic free for many a mile both north and southwards. Bideford has a Tesco, Morrisons, Asda and Aldi. Plenty to keep you amused locally. Wifi and mobile phone signal were both excellent (EE). A quiet CL but you will hear the cows being milked early in the morning. Not a problem for us. We'll try to use this CL again when next in the area as it was perfect for our needs.
