We thought Scotland was cold and rainy

Just writing this having stayed for 11 nights. The weather has been marvellous, but perhaps a little too hot. Entrance to site is very well sign posted and no problems, with access and we are a big unit. Site was full nearly the whole time we here here, but never felt over crowded. Site is well kept and all pitches are big enough for a double axle, awning and car. Power supply was plenty for our needs ( no tripping etc) toilet and shower were a welcome bonus. The bird life was amazing and the owner sells bags of food to top up the many feeders provided. Gray water into the long grass always a bonus. Limited walks from site, but the roads are very quiet. Unusually for us we did not visit the local pubs. There is a community shop in the village which sells the normal basics and an arts centre that did coffee, teas and snacks. The Smithy cafe / restaurant was closed for their summer holidays when we visited :-( We saw no midges ;-) 26th June 23 £17 per night We will be coming back.
