Peace and tranquility!

Fantastic and helpful communication with Paul - especially as we are complete novices and this was a first night away. This small site is set in beautiful countryside, brilliant for walks and exploring. Grounds extremely well kept. Each pitch has EHU, tap and grey water disposal facilities. Just outside the gate is a full range of recycling bins and waste. Only possible improvement would be to add toilet and shower facilities but it does clearly state these are not available. Highly recommended!

The Courts

This is a beautifully maintained site in a tucked away location. Paul gave us a wonderful welcome and we enjoyed the stunning countryside walks direct from the site. We will definitely return.

Beautiful secret hideaway.

We visited here for three nights in October and were very impressed indeed. This is a new site (May 2023) and we met Paul who is very friendly, easy to chat to and very open to suggestions. The site is all gravel and stone so no mud to contend with, the pitches are huge with a freshly laid Laurel hedging between pitches. You are just off a small village but in the woods and under the trees which meant it was supremely quiet and undisturbed. Everything is brand new and fastidiously maintained by Paul which is a credit to him. He did ask for any feedback to help him move forward, but we could not really think of anything, which is unusual for us! We will return and want to try the walks around the woods plus visit the canal and tea rooms at the bottom of the hill next time around. Thanks again Paul, you are setting the bar very high for a small independent CL.

Quiet country escape.

I've made several visits to this place now. It's a stunning, peaceful location. There are acres of nature reserve close by making it perfect for dog walking/running/cycling. There are local cafe/restaurants/supermarket nearby. The site is very well maintained site with autonomous check-in/ online payment. Paul is a very approachable host and will often provide helpful information.

Wonderful Peaceful Relaxed Site!

Absolutely loved our weeks stay at this site! 5, large, level, clean and really well serviced hardstanding pitches in a beautiful dell in the woods. Each pitch comes with its own water, electric and waste. Really nicely placed for either more permanent connection or to use with a waste carrier/water barrel. Each pitch also has its own very well secured bike rack so you can lock up your bikes and leave them securely. The whole site is in an area that used to be a tennis court, it is in a lovely quiet area of the woods and you wouldn't have a clue it was there is there wasn't a sign for it. The owner Paul, was lovely too. The site had no long been planted up with dividing bushes and other plants, so he was there watering and tending most days for a little while. The whole atmosphere of the place just helps you unwind and relax! Fabulous!!!!

An excellent CL

Even though The Courts is within a few miles of our home and we know the Little Baddow area well, we decided an unexpectedly good September weather forecast warranted a weekend away in our caravan and an opportunity to try a new CL. We were not disappointed. The welcome we received from Paul and his dogs was as top notch as the facilities available and we do love a fully serviced pitch. Whether you're local or not we wholeheartedly recommend this smashing new addition to CAMC's CL portfolio!

The Best CL Site We’ve Stayed At

Found this site online by chance. A fabulous CL site - so peaceful, tidy and a big plus being fully serviced. As the pitches are hard standing there is no worry of getting stuck in any mud. Paul is very welcoming and more than happy to have a chat and very accommodating too. Lots of new shrubbery have gone in to enhance it and plans are underway by Paul for some more finishing touches. We did find turning into the site a bit tight but next time would ensure we swing out to the right further before turning in. Pitches 1 and 2 are best for sunshine well into the afternoon. We stayed on pitch 5 which lost the sun fairly early on. We hope to return in the next few weeks with our new van. Thanks for a great stay!

A gem of a site

We chose this site for its location near to a wedding we were attending. Paul has done a wonderful job in creating this lovely setup. The pitches are big and fully serviced and are easy to manoeuvre onto. We wish him all the best with his future plans for the site and will definitely return

5 Perfect pitches

This is a new site just undergoing the finishing landscaping touches of seeding the remaining prepared areas. Paul has given a lot of thought into designing the pitches, level hard standing with, electric hookup, water and drainage. Having spent three nights here I am sorry to leave the surrounding countryside walks that can be selected depending on your abilities of gentle stroll or serious all day hiking. The Courts website is excellent giving you a great depth of knowledge of the area. I also used this other site for detailed map of right of ways etc. starting outside the entrance. https://osm.mathmos.net/prow/progress/essex/chelmsford/little-baddow/ Our dog Poppy has enjoyed the walks in the woods and fields surrounding this site as much as Lynda and I.
