Wonderful welcme

Jo met us shortly after arrival and really informative. Site recently bought by Jo and Karina and it is clear they want to make it a super little site. Views over the Pentland Firth to Orkney are magnificent . With a very large twin axle caravan the pitches are extremely sloping and we needed blocks under the front steadies at full stretch with the van rear touching the ground. Long walk uphill to empty toilet but a sack barrow provided to assist….hopefully one will be put on the site but Jo and Karina have only just started on the site(moved in Nov 20 and only operable for 17 weeks). Walks from site….first 400 metres or so on rarely used road in either direction. Wish Jo and Karina in developing the site with success.

Thank you for your kind review Terry! Glad you enjoyed your stay.

Agree the pitches are sloping but thankfully every unit so far this season has managed to get level. We will add photos to our website www.thecrofterssnug.co.uk/touring-pitches next time we have a twin-axle on site to illustrate for others who might be concerned. And yes, it's 200 steps up the track to the Elsan point which we promote as good exercise tongue-out - better yet, you are rewarded with views that are considered to be even more spectacular than those from the pitches!
